    :D That made me laugh.

    Imagine this.

An 05-06 post ASG Yao Ming, an 04-05 T-Mac, an 04-05 Bob Sura, and an 05-06 playoffs Bonzi (Sac. v S.A.)...

Can you say revenge against Dallas in the WCF?

    hmmm...

how does it help him "get in shape" (if infact this was the genuine reason) by holding him out of games

He could at least play 10-15 mins, getting in sync with the team and work his way into shape on the practice court on top of that.

Bonzi does sort of favor the rapper Heavy D out there on the court...he was going so fast on the break the other night that I just knew he was going to hurt somebody. Did you see the photographers moving quickly (haha)...his legs and hands were not coordinated so he left the ball behind him while going up for a layin. It took him a year to get down court after that steal in the Dallas game and he sort of had a half dunk half layup.

Overall, he'll be good for us once he hits that treadmill and life cycle and shed's 10-15 pounds.

Someone send that fat f*** to Weight Watchers.

Better hit the grilled chicken and vegetables, Bonzi, we need you healthy. As Edna Mole said in The Incredibles, "My God, you've gotten fat."

The Mavs game was not, and my grumps are from that grand night. Last night? It would have been hard to change what JVG did as the Good Guys won a hard fought (tho sloppy and questionably called [both ways]) game.

So, how does coach allot the minutes tonite? Bucks' 2nd game in 4 nites v The Good Guys' 4th in 5...

I understand playing Padgett in the Utah game over Novak, but Memphis would have been a perfect matchup for Novak, especially against Brian Cardinal. I think JVG is obviously worried about Novak getting outrebounded and what not. I still think he will play him against more favorable matchups but I don't know when those matchups will occur. I am hoping Wells plays some PF when he gets back and in shape instead of Padgett. Nothing against the guy because he is a great end of bench player, but he should not be getting consistent minutes. I don't see Novak playing against the Bucks tonight either because he will not be able to handle the athleticism, and/or strength of their SF/PF position.

I heard that, but in every interview Bonzi says he is ready to play and JVG says he isn't ready to play. Doesn't sound like the same page to me.

What it may indicate is that Bonzi is full of it. He won't admit to a reporter that he is not ready to play even if it's obvious by just looking at him or watching him lumber up and down the court.

It's looking increasingly obvious to me that signing this guy may have been a mistake even at the low dollar price we paid for him.

    1. Skips preseason
    2. Comes in FAT and out of shape
    3. Has a chip on his shoulder when it comes to the media

I'm not sure we need this. I hope JVG sits his fat ass on the bench and lets him rot there until he realizes there was a reason NOBODY in the NBA was willing to give him an offer better than the one he got here.

This guy is a slug. If he thinks he is going to EVER get another good contract in the NBA under these circumstances he is kidding himself.

    Not a mistake.
    Not a slug.
Yes he'll get paid next summer. (I hope it's here with the MLE.)

    Beg to differ:
1 Maybe a mistake. To be determined
2 Is a slug so far. Hopefully he gets his act together and contributes the way we know he can
3 Won't sniff the full MLE next summer. He'll be 31 and will get 3-4yrs/$15MM guaranteed if he's lucky.

Sounds a lot like the situation we had last year with DA...

On the NBA.com front page there's a David Aldridge "insider" video report scooping the supposed reason for Bonzi's "personal problems". He stood the team up for the pre-season Dallas game and Van Gundy basically asked him if he's reconsidering wanting to play and if not, dont come ever. They're on the same page now though, he's just fat.

I'm glad it hasn't fallen apart yet. We could reeeeally use that scoring option.

^^yeah i saw that a minute ago, but couldn't watch it. Anyway i find it a dumb reason to be gone for what 5 6 days. He had 3 months to think about were he wanted to play. He had to decide between 3 or 4 teams and he made a choice and needs to rethink that decision within a month?
Anyway its on him to shine this year and get that big contract, don't b**ch just get in shape and play.
