If it's been posted, lock it up! http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/powerranking?season=2007&week=1 14 (12) - Rockets [1-2] - 1-1 in their division after going 1-15 vs. Southwest last season. But just when T-Mac's back seems fine, his new problem (free throws) persists.
This early into the season, power rankings, player rankings, fans rantings, are absolutely of no use. Utah, 76ers and Hornets all have unbeaten records, does that gurantee a championship for them? Dallas lost all their games, does that mean they should be headed towards the lottery? For now, I don't give a *beep* about power rankings.
Its very early in the season and for a team thats supposed to be very good on paper I would say thats a fair assessment.
I agree I think they can win it all, IF they stay healthy. Which I think is very small, between Boozer and AK they haven't stayed healthy an entire season for a while and Harpring hasn't either. Very good team, with alot of injuries.
They are a good team, but claiming that they can win it all at this point is extremely premature. They don't have a go to guy. Plenty of mediocre teams are starting well compared to the top tiered teams, but this has not bearing on how the season will end, since there is still a very long way to go.
*shrug* These power rankings just confuse the crap out of me. We destroyed the Mavs and they are winless. somehow we drop in rankings? Not like i care all too much, but sometimes these power rankings are just not very logical to me. These rankings go by a week to week basis. If Utah can jump up to 1, then Dallas can drop down to 20.
I agree the rankings are meaningless. I hate the poll system for college football and this isn't any different. But one funny thing to note is that our losses are to #1 Utah and #2 NO according to the power rankings geniuses.
i'm happy with 14. after the way we played in utah added with a 1-2 record, i expected worse. i guess kicking the mavs ass saved us.
