[ESPN] Pettitte, Clemens unsure about playing in 2007

If Pettitte decides to play next season its going to be in Houston. The only way he would go back to NY is if they backed up a huge truck filled with money and even then he would probably still have to mull over the decision.

As for Clemens, if he comes back great, if not it was a great ride.

 

I could possibly see Roger going back to the Sox because that's where his career started. NY seems like a longshot as do the Rangers. Roger's not stupid, he can't honestly believe he'll continue the success he's achieved here in Houston if he goes back to the AL. Plus, I doubt any team can offer him the contract benefits the Astros do, plus he's right at home. Same for Pettite.

I would expect the Astros would try hard to lure Pettite back and then make moves, like last season, based on the assumption that Roger's not coming back; but have the door open in case.
