Iraqi Oversight Agency got shut down?

    Seriously, how did people miss this? The Inspector general for Iraq was exposing all sorts of bs that was going on and then some ******* in Congress slips in a provision into a military authorization bill that shuts down the agency.

    it doesn't matter what your ideological stance is on the war. We should all support oversight and crackdowns on corruption and waste over there. Part of the reason why reconstruction is going on so slowly is that there is no accountability for corporations and no check on waste and abuse of the system.

    It seems the oversight agency should be working overtime. Iraq is #3 most corrupt nation in the world.
