We need Novak to be more deadly over the arc. If he can be our Jon Barry, Yao and TMac will get more space.

If our D can show up and start the season for real, we'll win.

Oh and can some just tell Rafer its the preseason, maybe that'll get him off to a hot start :D

Several of my friends will go to the game to support the team, please let Wells play if he can, we may have a better chance to win the game. This is not the Texas football team, we have enough good players. A two point-big win for the Rockets.

To both of you Boy's (Hill and Z).. Good Lord, what year IS it??

I'll have to ask for forgiveness for forgetting what year/decade/planet this is.. we hired one of those 'topless carpet cleaning services' today, and I have been all sorts of distracted... ;)

Tough to predict a Rockets win here...based on their showing vs. the Jazz, they would get their butts handed to them. But since they are playing at home, it's hard to imagine them coming out lethargic...we ROCKETS FANS at Toyota center will try to rev their engines up for a fast liftoff :D

Didn't want to start a whole new thread about this, as it's only a couple of mentions, but it is worht noting at least that V-Span is among the first names on peoples' lips when talking about Euros this year.

Anyway, it's an article on Sportsline.com:

    http://cbs.sportsline.com/nba/story/9773430

Here's hoping that V-Span becomes one of those success stories, instead of a bitter ending.

Probably a loss, but consider it a victory if we play well enough for them to know that they have to take us seriously this year.

Just follow their own building blocks that they have at their practice facility.

If the Rockets play anything like they did against Utah, pencil in a loss. If they light a fire under themselves, it should be competitive. The keys are to pound it in to Yao often and frequently, push the ball more, and hope Battier can contain Dirk into a sub-par shooting night. Also, overall the team needs to shoot better. Those are a lot of keys to follow. It will be a tough game for the Rockets, but hopefully they'll pull it off.

McGrady drops the 35 he didn't in the first game. Yao gets those 14 rebounds he didn't. Rockets win.

I am loking at this sign and thinking it would make a great poster for an ORGY party.

    HOW WE PLAY:

-FREE THROWS [check] Deep Paint [Deep is good!] Open 3s [Duh! It is an orgy]
    -1 CONTESTED 2 POINT J [Anything goes!]
-LOW TURNOVER [Efficiency if the key but Quality matters!]
-GANG REBOUND [keep it moving folks! no campers!]
-HARD SMART QUICK AND PREICSE [Self-explanatory, the right way to do it]

    ATTITUDE AND DEMEANOR

-BELIEF[You can do it! Dont let that blonde intimidate you!]
    -INTENSITY [Yea Baby!!]
-CONCENTRATION [Let's not lose focus here. So little time, so many to go!]
    -DISCIPLINE [No pushing around!]
-POISE UNDER PRESSURE [Dont let others watching you be a distraction!]

    ULTURE AND ENVIRONMENT
-HARDEST WORKING[This is one thing everyone can give their best to!]
-BEST CONDITIONED [If you dont got it yet, stay home and practice first]
-MOST UNSELFISH [Share!! It's an orgy dammit!]
-GREAT TEAM SPIRIT AND UNITY [Everyone gets to share the fun!]
-PLAY TO WIN [Remember..there are no losers here!!]

    My prediction is:

If the Rockets lose, there will be 60 pages on this thread complaining about how we need to get rid of T-Mac and JVG.

If the Rockets win, there will still probably be a whole bunch of b****in and complaining, but there will be a few happy posts. :)

The rockets are always ready for the big games, if we had opened the season with dallas we wouldve played way better in the opener. its gonna be a dog-fight, none of these teams wanna be 0 and 2. specially not the rockets who will be on the road for a while.

    105-101 rockets

tmac scores +30 yao scores +30
    dirk scores 50
