Tham 8 minutes - 8 points - 3/5 shooting 2/2 FT 2 REBOUNDS!!!! Cato 19 min - 4 points - 1/4 shooting 2/2 ft 2 REBOUNDS!!! Why did Tham not get more minutes? I noticed no Foul trouble. Was his Defense suspect? I did not see the game. Seems he made the defense work more. . but if he was a defensice liability i can understand. Cutino 6/17 Francis 7/17 Kenny 5/10 Lotta shots. Where they jumpshots? or going to the basket? We need more rebounding from the Big Guys. Rocket River Just let me know how we looked. stats don't tell the whole game. I'm not Bryce fan but 8 minutes?????
Rocket River - I don't think 8 minutes for THam can be right. Seemed like he was out there a lot. He started in the 1st and 3rd and played well. I thought he played well on defense. Ewing didn't light him up IMHO. Drew wasn't having a good night. Cuttino and Stevie have both had that problem of shooting too much all season in my opinion. Seemed like a lot of jump shots at the wrong time - pass up the open shot and take the covered one. But the number of shots tonight may be misleading - I think we started jacking them up (and missing) in the 4th when the Knicks cracked down on defense. I wonder what the stats were on the rebounding. Cus I was pleasantly surprised that the Rockets seemed to get a lot of them??? Obviously, I'm not an expert at this but at least it might help you til someone else responds.
I've noticed that nba.com sometimes takes awhile to get all the numbers right -- especially the minutes. If you add up all of the minutes, you'll probably find that they don't equal 240. So Hamilton probably played a good deal more than shown.
I went to check out ESPN's box score. The Rockets had 32 rebounds and NY had 34. Cato and Hamilton did each only have two rebounds. Rogers had eight, Thomas and Bullard had six each. Hamilton actually played 22 minutes, not eight.
Rogers played 26 minutes and went 3-5 (1-2 from 3 point range). Eight rebounds (1 offensive), one steal, and eight points. Must have been checking out the same time as Francis3. Sorry. [This message has been edited by TraJ (edited December 14, 1999).]
