I have been big on this team ever since last season, and I know it's early, but they look even better. I love the off-season moves they made. They have gained both talent and -- more importantly -- experience and tough veterans in the front court. Really like this team, I think they could come out from the East. The only thing that could hold 'em back is their inexperienced back court. However, they're full of talented players and could compete/beat any team out there. They play top-notch defense, hustle like crazy, are disciplined, and will only get better. They're my 'dark horse' of the NBA this season...
To me, it is more like Miami look really bad. The new ball is causing lots of turnovers and missed shots.
Didnt watch the game but from the boxscore, it seems like the Bulls are wiping the defending champ Heat now!!
Miami has been awful. Like in the preseason game versus the Rockets, they are slow and can't stop from fouling.
Miami looks terrible. Terrible individual and team defense, terrible shooting, terrible ball movement, terrible coaching. I'm actually feeling a little sorry for Shaq. He looks terribly old and slow out there against Wallace and Thomas. Terrible... Bulls look quick and smart. If they are making more of their shots, this game would be over already.
I like the lineup now of Chicago Bulls, too much atheliticism and talent. They're weakness is mental game as a young team, but they can go far this year. I'm not surprised they're up by 20 right now. It will still be like that until Dwayne wade decides to take over but not a sure win. Miami has the worst team player in the league. The only reason that they won last year was Wade's effort, of course with minimal help from Shaq and co. That's the reason why Wade is the number 1 player in the books today. He averaged 40+ in their last 4 games against Dallas last year while in the first losing games, he only averaged 20+. Go Bulls.
Only watching the boxscore. Right now, Wade is 5-7 and the rest of the Heat is 5-25. This game is an extreme example of why I said the Heat wouldn't repeat. Wade is "tired" and he must carry them on his shoulders for them to succeed. After 82 games, neither he nor Shaq will have enough left to defend their title. To repeat: I put them at ~4-5th in the Eastern Conference, behind the Bulls, Cavs and Nets for sure. It's possible the Wizards give them a run for their money in the Southeast division. But I don't know if the Wiz have the heart to do that well. Arenas is the only player on that team I like. I also picked the Bulls to be a Finals contender because of their defense. If Skiles' hyper-intensity doesn't wear the players out, they will be a major force the entire season and playoffs.
Miami just looks awful. They seem out of rhythm. Chicago seems to be very good with the new ball. Kirk Hinrich has 0 turnovers and has made 6 out of 11 shots.
Chicago look very good and Tyrus has impressed me. Tyrus and Wallace will be huge on defensively for this team and I can honestly see them in the top 2 teams in the East.
Man the heat is getting whooped right now =\ turnovers, no outside shots, and theyre just missing everything in general
59-30! This Bulls team isn't programmed to score that much. Defense will be their season-long calling card. Can someone describe why Wade has 5 TOs? Is he out of control or was the Bulls' defense that good? I'd hate to be a Heat player right now listening to Riles in the lockerroom.
This Chicago team is super deep, has talented bench... Nice whooping on the defending champs, they are playing beautiful...
Chicago Halftime Stats FG 51.3% 3PT 42.9% FT 66.7% If you take out, Tyrus's Free throws. It is 80% FT shooting. How are they doing that with the new ball? They are doing great on the fastbreaks without losing the ball. edit: only 7 turnovers for the whole team.
