I voted 6-4. The Rockets always start off slow. 6-4 is great compared to last season 2-9, and the year before that 6-11.

This schedule has good teams, on the road, with back-to-backs.
My heart says 10-0, my gut says 7-3, very very respectable. I also think that the longer we play together, the better we get.

I went with 5-5. This team has gotten off to slow starts the last 2 seasons, so a repeat performance would surprise me not at all.
I think with the added determination of the players, we will start the season with a 6-4 remember, Yao and co still have some rust to work off but after the 10games its going to be long winning streak
I will be ecstatic with 6-4, and not disappointed with 5-5. With so many new faces this is a very tough start against teams that have been playing together for years. This team has talent, but is yet to prove they have serious chemistry. That may take months. They are going to be good, but I don't expect a 10-0 start. If that happens, the BBS will melt down, the league will freak out, and Rosen will be hospitalized.
4-6 - would be normal 5-5/6-4 - would be good 7-3 - would be excellent 8-2/9-1/10-1 - give us the rings right away
I'd be VERY happy to be over .500 after 10 games. 1. @utah - they could steal one from us. they're supposed to be looking really good right now. 2. dal - deepest team in the league. 3. @nok - havent beaten them in a year and they got better. 4. @mem - we'll kill 'em. 5. @mil - 2nd of a back-2-back, a fast high scoring team could give us trouble. 6. ny - kill 'em 7-10. @mia, sas, chi, @det - we could possibly lose all of these. there are only 2 sure fire wins in the first 10. another 3 look good. i'm hopfull that they win those 5 and one more against #7-10.
Wed 01 @ Utah Sat 04 vs Dallas Sun 05 @ New Orleans Tue 07 @ Memphis Wed 08 @ Milwaukee Fri 10 vs New York Sun 12 @ Miami Tue 14 vs San Antonio Thu 16 vs Chicago Sat 18 @ Detroit I hate it when people automatically put the Rockets in the L column when they see the names of Dallas and San Antonio. So I predict one win over either one of them. Even more important, we need to restore the significance of "home court advantage" for the Rockets. OTOH, I'd caution against taking for granted victories over the weak teams in our division. Since we don't intend to let MemphisX have any rejoice this season, I say we lose to New Orleans but beat the heck of Memphis. The first game vs Utah sets the tone for this season, besides, it's Yao's turn to avenge his injured left foot by dumping 30-15 on those evil Jazzholes. A W there is a must. Miami really is a crappy team. Most of us rooted for the Heat last year largely because of our hatred of the Mavs. Time for us to show Miami's championship run is a fluke, which was built on nothing but Wade's insane number of trips to the free throw line. JVG still has a heart for New York. Likewise, there are no lack of Francis fans here. A loss to the Knicks should bring tons of fun to watch on this board. Can't lose to Chicago. It's gonna be another epic battle for Yao to go after an "elite" center. We have no love hate for Milwaukee, so the result vs the Bucks at this early stage is inconsequential. This concludes my prediction for the first 10 games of the season: 7W-3L (or 6W-4L if we freakishly lose to Milwaukee).
It's going to be either 6-4 or 5-5. Wish it looked better to start off, but the first ten games have some pretty tough opponents on the schedule, before we will really have our chemistry set, and Bonzi truly integrated. Put this same stretch of ten teams in the 2nd-half of the season, though, and it would be a totally different story. The Rox just need to keep their heads above water for the first month or so, staying above .500 would be terrific, and after the new year begins, this team should be ready to really take off.
We'll go 8-2 to start the season. I want to say we'll go 10-0. Our team looks stacked!! I mean I think we can push at 73 wins!!!
My bad...edited to include that tv, and national tv as well. It's on FSNSW, and on NBATV (not the league pass channel, but the main NBATV one) and some network called RTV?
To be fair, we were 0-8 against them last year, and in the last two years 4-12, and one of those wins was the T-Mac miracle. Both of these games are home games, though. I think the Utah win is important. I can see a loss at Utah becoming an 0-2 start as the team is doing too much thinking instead of playing in game 2, whereas a win at Utah should help carry-over to a good game Saturday.
