Somebody please give me the final deal........cash, picks or both w/Rice in the trade completed Friday. I can't believe that no one on this board has a definitive answer to this question. I live in Cincy and don't have the resources you have in Houston but am a huge fan and am dying to know what the final trade is. Thanks in advance!
Sorry to post again, but wanted to add that maybe we could get a definitive answer to this question from Clutch himself. If you know the answer please post it for everyone Clutch.
This could be one of those trades where the Rockets don't know for themselves what they will get... Hence, the reason for the "future considerations"... I bet the Rockets will get someone's draft pick if Rice doesn't play X amount of games... Or something to that effect, to where the deal won't be finalized for a while... If the Rockets know what they are getting, there is no sense in announcing it later, becuase it IS the offseason... Usually in the future consideration trades, it is a mid-season trade, in which the other team receiving the future goods, is given an option to pick b/t a couple of players at the end of the year...
that makes sense but I just want to know exactly what the "future considerations" are. Somebody has to know whether it is draft picks or cash. Some basher above said to read the front page but in case he hasn't been paying attention there is definate debate as to whether we eventually can get picks along with cash should Rice not pan out.
Pete, Thanks for stating the obvious but you must be stupid if you can't figure out what I am asking and that is to confirm if we will receive picks as part of the future considerations! Please read before you post
Well the AP has said we got cash and future considerations from both teams. Now what the future considerations will be I don't know, since I'm not cool with Cleo or Dionne Warwick.
under most circumstances if Clutch knows something, we know about it soon after. so that tells us that we know as much as there is to know...chill waltsucks.
waltsucks, I'd like to think that Clutch tries not to post info unless he's positive about it being right. I think he's pretty consistent in waiting until he knows his info is official before he goes and throws it on the frontpage. Now Don Nelson, a coach and GM involved with the deal said that the Rockets just got money. He said that the deal was dead if the Rockets wanted more. Clutch included this on the page, instead of posting 3 times in a row, maybe you could take the time and read what Clutch has to say on the frontpage.
