I can recall that season lost a lot, we made a trade for him,he came, Dream injured,he led the team struggling game after game,when Dream came back,as he said,"we became really good." ,finally, won it all. Where can we find a man like him?
It will be hard to find someone just like Drexler. He was a very unique player who will never be replaced. However, we now have Steve Francis who brings a whole new style of play to the Rockets. He is very exciting and knows how to put the ball in the basket. And that's what Drexler always knew how to do. It will be a long year waiting for Francis to make the team better, but it will be worth the wait. He isn't drexler, but he's going to be just as good.
The closest thing in this league to a Glide is the man we'll be facing tonight -- Latrell Sprewell. Forget the attitude, and you have the flashy penetrating, sub-par outside shot, good jump shot and killer instinct that a young Drexler had. The only thing remotely similar to a Clyde on the Rocks right now is probably Shandon Anderson, they have some of the same traits. But S.A is not the pure scorer that Drex was in his early days.
