But then again I'm a rocket homer and unless your name is Dream, Horry or Cassell once your gone you are no longer on my radar.

    (arrogant prick) Who said that?

We could definitely use him right now over T.O Spanoulis, and shooting guard Luther Head.

I think Spanoulis is going to turn out quite good.

Either Wells and Vspan or MJ for 3 (4?) years.

I'll take the Wells and Vspan option

The title wasn't a bad start, but then I open the thread and there is absolutely no content or insight whatsoever. Why are you glad we weren't blessed with Mike James? Obviously you could easily make a case that we're better off splitting the money up between Wells and Spanoulis, but you didn't even bother. Thanks for another pointless thread.

Wells is yet to get his Rockets jersey on and play for us. I would advise everyone to take a deep breath, be patient until the season ends, and then make up your minds if we're 'better off' with a one-year rental in Wells and an unproven rookie, or a proven veteran locked in for the next three seasons for below market value.

    Only time will tell...

Let's wait and see how well MJ does in Minny the next couple of years. He could tail off considerably.

I have always felt that Mike James was a stop gap, and did not fit entirely on an inside out team.

I think he needs the ball in his hands to be successful.

I too, am glad he is in Minnesota, I would rather role with Rafer and V-span.....

This team is unselfish and loaded, and THAT is how you win championships.

like i posted in one of the game threads letting james go allowed us to:
sign novak, vspan and lucas to three year deals instead of the standard 2. this means we have their birds rights so come three years from now if any of them pan out ot be solid nba players (vspan and novak) we can offer than any other team. and we were able to do this very cheap as well.
signing bonzi was a one year rental but imo bonzi>james which is great. and who knows if the team does real well and he fits in a like a glove considering next years FA market the best bonzi may get is the MLE and unless a talented big falls into our laps cheap the rockets may be best served to sign bonzi for the MLE

from what i have seen so far james has not done too well in the minnesota games

I'm not gonna lie, I was actually a little sad when we traded MJ away to Toronto. But he's a big prick now anyways, may he suck there and be forced into early retirement. (Trying hard not to wish something too bad for him)

All in all, I think V and JL3 in exchange for MJ is a good deal.

I'll take Bowen over James any day

    Bowen = Respect

James = Trade Kicker + Arrogance

Are you kidding? This team can absolutely use Mike James right now.

Not that I don't think Bonzi will be useful, but now he's just another ****** on the inactive list. Until BBW comes back, I won't be glad about not having Mike Jame.s

i admit i'm somewhat of against mike james being a rocket ever since that game 7 where he got thrown out. i still think rafer's a better guard for us, and im glad mike chose minn over us.
