I'm 30 and single and have a decent (but not spectacular) social life. Sometimes when people come over to my place, they are amazed that I have a twin size bed. "What are you 12?" they'd tease me. I would like to get a bigger bed, but my twin size bed is one of those tempurpedic mattresses that is very comfortable. I really like it and the thing is, it never ever wears down. It could theoretically last forever. I was wondering how many single folks still have twin size beds. Am I a freak for having one? edited to add: If I do get a new bed, what's a good brand? What do you guys have?
I couldn't imagine not having a king size bed and while I could get by with a queen, I wouldn't even entertain the notion of owning a full or twin. Hell, my kids have queen size beds.
Yeah, that's pretty sad. I had a single bed when I lived in the dorms at college, but that's only because I was in dorms and that's what they gave us. I can't remember the last time I had a twin sized bed -- but at least you don't have a waterbed.
If a twin works for you...thats fine. Would make it difficult if you wanted to have.....er....company. (Of the naked opposite gender variety)
Actually, I always thought the twin was better in terms of um, versatility of positions. Because you are close to the edge, it is easy various, um... oh well, use your imagination. Plus, you can get rid of the girl faster because you say, "hey this bed isn't big enough for sleeping!"
OK, a twin is a little weird for a single guy in his 30's. But I have a fullsize which isn't much bigger. I like it because it makes my room look bigger. It's the perfect size for "having company" because of the uh.....extra room for versatility while still not taking up too much space.
Well, I guess "technically" there's not anything "wrong" with it... By the way, do you also have a teddy and a favorite wooby?
Where's the poll for the baby bed I got from Walmart for $15? In any defense for the op, they do have two sizes of Twin or Twin XL.
After 4 years and 2000 posts, I'm going to be remembered as the guy who has a twin size bed. OK, this is not a defense, but I think each of you have something in your lives that you consider perfectly normal, not knowing that other people think you are a freak for doing that one thing. P.S. I wear boxers. But they are GI Joes boxers.
