Actually, the question would be more like this:
Can a Chinese person be a ninja? Wouldn't that upset the Chinese?

    This can't be more wrong.
    He DID mention Yao's name.
He DID talk about Yao will be the only true center left after his leaving.

This is straight from nba.com's annual GM Survey...

Best is different from WHO WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE.

I mean, Shaq is a legend so of course they're going to give him his credit where credit it due.

But should you impose the question, which center would you like on your team. I'm sure we'll get an entirely different poll result.

I don't really think that's true. GM's see rings on Shaq's fingers, one of which came as recently as 4 months ago. Yao's popularity speak to GM's, but so does Shaq's popularity and championship pedigree. A poll like you suggested may be closer, but Yao would still not be at the top in my opinion.

Man, this is an insult to Yao, or any real Chinese.
