I'll be at the MGM Grand. if any of you guys are there, we should meet up to gamble and discuss the Rockets or any other topic. I know for some of you, leaving the Houston city limits is against your religion, but I believe the Rocket Gods will forgive you if you decide to go. They also have that Vegoose music fest. its like ACL, sorta. Dave Matthews is playing at the MGM.
Hey tinman...not sure if you've been over to the Hard Rock Hotel yet, but I had a chance to eat at the Pink Taco over there today for lunch and found their food to be pretty good!!! Ordered just regular ol' chicken soft tacos and they turned out to be fantastic!!! A little pricey though...their prices are actually higher than what appears on the HRH's menu. Good luck while you're here!!!
Suggest going to Lawry's Prime Rib (on Tropicana Ave I believe). It is the best prime rib I've ever had in my life. It's pretty fancy and costs about $50/person (after tax/tip), but it is one of the few fancy restaurants where I actually felt it was worth it.
what about blackstone's at the monte carlo? im gonna head down there. should i put some money for the rockets to win it all?
Since I frequent the Station casinos mostly, I'm following their NBA Championship odds...I'm liking what I'm seeing and might drop some $ on Houston!!! (As of 9/18/2006, taken from Green Valley Ranch, but should be representative of all Station casinos.) Team/Opening/Current as of 9/18 Dallas 4/1 4/1 Miami 9/2 9/2 San Antonio 9/2 9/2 Detroit 5/1 8/1 Phoenix 6/1 6/1 Cleveland 10/1 10/1 New Jersey 15/1 15/1 Houston 20/1 20/1 Denver 20/1 20/1 LA Clips 18/1 18/1 Utah 50/1 50/1 I don't think these numbers reflect the pickup of Bonzi...so I think the odds for Houston will drop with the next update...which will probably be after final cuts are made and rosters become set for the regular season. I wonder what Novak's odds would be for highest 3 point percentage and most 3's made???
I know some will laugh, but Circus Circus has a very underrated steakhouse. I took 6 friends once, we ate as much as we could and incl. alcohol. the bill was under 250.00. It's definitely worth a check.
The Odds have been up for a while now. When they were set a lot of things were taken into account as far as what to make the odds what they were. Between the time they are opened and until maybe a month into the season, the odds are only moved due to the amount of money coming in on teams and major playor changes (like Ben Wallace to Chicago) or injuries. It's more about the money right now as far as odds are concerned. Vegas books are not really into scouting basketball teams like they would be for football teams. And as far as Novak is concerned, no one in Vegas will have miscellaneous odds like that for basketball.
i read that in many reviews, will head down there in january! i had the CLUTCHCITY KARMA going, I won $1100 on the craps table! #11 !!! I'd like to thank: the hot rollers at the Hard Rock, including myself and that girl who kept hitting the hard 10s at the MGM!
