Hopefully not. Cat was a bonehead when it came to decision making. Especially during end of games. Head is more poised. Head also looks to be more clutch.
it is a bit surprising this actually made the news. isnt this the sort of thing that could be kept behind closed doors - between a player and a coach...?
what so we just have the public news when players do some bad like storm off the bench or fire a gun or get arrested??? damn that am radio culture..... lets here about the good stuff
I'm not surprised at all. That's good PR, both for the team and for Cuttino. Perhaps the team is bracing itself for another classic Artest moment. Ron Artest - "Tru Warier" is stores soon...
Luther has more discipline, talent, and maturity than Mobes....He's going to be a solid player on a championship team.Cat is into self promotion. He'll say the right things and has improved his game a bit,but as soon as he gets that contract it was true colors time.I have to hand it to Cat,the guy has carved out a career for himself and is getting paid well, but I believe Luther is about winning and playing team basketball first and foremost.
I once stopped him on his bikeride from westside Tennis club to His house in Royal Oaks country club off Richmond(he still owns this house plus him mom's house according to HCAD) during the heat of summer....and I got an autograph back in '02 I think.....did not have a camera phone back then btw his house was robbed in Cali: LOS ANGELES -- Thieves stole $500,000 in cash, jewelry and other items from the Bel-Air home of Los Angeles Clippers guard Cuttino Mobley, authorities said Sunday. Mobley's home was burglarized Saturday night, Los Angeles police officer Mike Lopez said. He declined to release details or whether detectives had any suspects. On Saturday night, Mobley had 19 points in the Clippers' home victory over Denver. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2311691 back on topic, IMO, He can prolong his career coming off the bench too.
Shot happy clown? Are you kidding me. He is and always will be one of my favorite players. Maybe we can get lucky and meet up with him again sometime down the road.
remember that foul on Kobe in the playoffs when Kobe was shooting a 3 39 feet from the basket? Good grief... almost worse than when Francise shot his 39 feet 3pter with 19 seconds left on the clock.
In fairness to Cat- give him credit -he signed an extension with us for under market value for 4 years. He came to camp every year in top shape and was dedicated to this team. He was loyal.
Cat plays a much different role for the Clippers then he played for us. Cat is no longer carrying an offense as a second scoring option slasher but the Clippers don't need to be since they so are loaded with offensively. Cat is now a role playing glue guy who will play good defense and provides very respectable offensive numbers with the occasional big game explosion. You can tell by the heavy minutes that he logs of how important Mobley is to the Clippers system. It is true that in a couple of years the guy is going to be an Aaron Mckie former shell of himself as his salary hinders the Clippers (but who are we to throw rocks since we're in the same boat with Juwana Howard) but the Clippers will have two first round draft picks (their own and Minnesota's) in this 2007 heavy sg/sf draft to find a quality younger eventual replacement for Cat...
If Cat was so loyal, he would have came back to me. Do I need to 'splain the difference between Cats and DAWGS. I mean, there is no Cat Whisperer TV show, is there? case closed.
