Out of curiosity - what happened to Redick? I was curious about how he's been performing in preseason, but he's not in any of the box scores for the Orlando games. What's the deal?

Hey may still be having problems with his foot. Here is a snippet from an October 14th recap of the Magic and Spurs preaseason game.

I am still convinced Redick will be a great shooter in this league. I love Novak because of his height and his quick stroke. However, Redick really has a more developed offensive game from the standpoint that he has had to learn to get his shot off against multiple defenders that a lot of times were either bigger or quicker than him. Redick has a vast array of ball fakes and dribble footwork that allows him to create space to get off his shot. Novak could develop some of this and add it to his arsenal. I really, really like that kid. But he doesn't have that ability yet to create his own shot at the NBA level. I am convinced Redick does even though he hasn't shown it yet.

Novak faced a lot of D at Marquette but he was tall enough to just raise up and fire over a lot of it. He won't be able to do that in the NBA. Of course, he is fitting in real right now with us because he doesn't have the ability to create his own shot. So, it isn't necessarily a bad thing right now. If the defense closes out, he simply gets rid of the ball, quickly I might add, which I think is great in our system. It just means the ball gets rotated around to 111 which is where we want it.

I am a huge fan of Redick. He has guts, brains, and skills which are the 3 qualities I really loved about Larry Legend. It would not surprise me to see both he and Novak in the 3 point contest at the All-Star break providing he is healthy.

Redick is also perfect for Orlando's system: he doesn't need to handle the ball since Nelson and probably Hill will take care of that, and he'll have plenty of open looks on the perimeter with Darko (really!) and Howard inside. The Magic are going to be very fun to watch this season

I really hope he does well in the NBA too. I LOVE REDICK and sometimes I feel like I'm in the minority.. I was really happy that the magic got him I really like their team. I guess I just really love shooters cause I was one in highschool. I mean I love korver and novak and redick and diener. and novak and redick got drafted to my favorite teams so yeah I'm very happy. I really sincerely hope redicks injuries can be taken care of, in college he was a strait up baller.

He sucks, he stole some trophys that should have gone to Adam Morrison. I am glad we didn't reach for him in the draft.

Along the lines of another rookie this preseason, Morrison hasn't touched the court either has he? What's the deal with him?

Really on Yahoo last night I looked him up and they have nothing over him. Zero stats, boxscores...anything.

Yahoo is not keeping track of preseason stats in player profiles. Check out nba.com and game logs there.

He may have peaked out as a college senior. But if healthy, his shooting stroke will keep around for a long time.

And if not there are alot of European teams that might find it amusing to have him on the roster.

Really? He stole them? This hole time I've been lied to because I thought that people voted for him.

They were the exact same player who put up the (nearly) the exact same stats. Why did JJ get the hardware? He played against WAY better competition, and thats a fact.

Morrision will be a better pro because he has a more well rounded game. JJ is a better shooter and will be a great role player to knock down the shots. These are the facts.

JJ had much better teammates and a system designed to get him open looks. Morrison had a slightly more impressive stat line doing it far more by himself.

Yes there was no doubt in my mind who the better player was, or if you switched them Duke would have been even better (Morrison shot a tad better even without as much space created by scheme) and Zaga a ton worse.

    Novak > Redick

Throw in where they were drafted and contracts...

    Novak >>>>>> Redick
