http://www.nba.com/news/newnbacom.html I'm not sure how to post a link, but the NBA.com has been updated with a new layout, what do you guys think of it?
Improved looks are cool but it seems like the NBA and related team websites change every few months. They need to find a good layout, and then refresh as needed. BTW, you just posted a link.
Cleaner look and navigation is much, much better. I'm surprised they took sooo long to realise the old site was a piece of crap
This link has potential: http://www.nba.com/news/linkcentral.html I follow several teams and this makes it easier.
Any page that doesn't expand automatically to ANY resolution SUCKS. Wasting the margin on the right or left is BAD. Yes, I meant ANY page. Case in point, this BBS does NOT suck.
Much better that the old site. Easily assessible highlights and easier to read and navigate. Of course, MLB.com is the standard that every league should strive for. That site is golden.
I agree. The old site from a yr or 2 ago was easy to navigate. The last site was the worst. This new one is a little better. These guys don't understand. Website 's 1st consideration should be ease of navigation, 2nd is organization, the rest come third or far down the list..
This is not true. Webdesigners are starting to stay away from this becasue more and more people are buying larger monitors. Now imagine if your resolution was something like 1600x1200. If the site expanded there would be way too much empty space everywhere making the website look unbalanced.
Is it just me or does anyone have the problem with the stat categories ? (http://www.nba.com/statistics/player/Scoring.jsp?) When I click "Rebounds", "Field Goal Shooting" or anything it WILL NOT change over to those stats AT ALL. And NEVER HAS for as long as I can remember Its a tech issue that could be fixable with changing some browser settings to make it work probably but a huge site like that should not have those kind of problems. I can navigate all categories in MLB.com and all the other major sports sites just fine. It looks crisper now but that problem is too annoying to overlook and keeps me from visiting.
You have to make sure you pick something for every drop down box available. Here is the leading centers in rebounds per game for the 2005-2006 regular season on one day of rest kick....ass... It takes a little getting used to, but it's awesome...
I just figured it out. - In the "SELECT LEADERS BY CATEGORY" section, when you click "Scoring" or "Rebounding" it underlines it (ex: click Scoring it changes to Scoring). - Then in the light blue box underneath (where it has "POSTIONS: All: G: F: C:") over to the far right click GO in the grey box and it sorts out the stats on a new page into columns.... AlRIGHT, why the hell didnt I for all this time not notice an underline ? ....NBA.com is BACK! For that here's the Yao's statline for all centers from last year post All-Star: Scoring http://www.nba.com/statistics/playe...&qualified=N&yearsExp=-1&splitDD=Post AllStar Rebounding http://www.nba.com/statistics/playe...&qualified=N&yearsExp=-1&splitDD=Post AllStar Efficiency http://www.nba.com/statistics/playe...&qualified=N&yearsExp=-1&splitDD=Post AllStar
