    Oh great, I booked a flight on Continental just last week...but I agree that they suck from a past experience, they just happen to be more convenient for me.

    I am partial to United and Southwest...

    That sux AB. I am platinum elite on Continental and fly about 30k miles per year for my job and I have been happy with continental so far. But i'd be pissed if that happened to me.

    i still hate american airlines, a couple years ago they delayed my flight from Houston to Dallas for.. 6 hours!
    let me repeat that HOUSTON TO DALLAS!
    then to top that off, I missed my connection from Dallas to DC (which i booked 1st class), then they took me off the 1st class flight the next morning!!
    they stuck me in some crap hotel and on top of that they were rude!

    I hate it when companies don't know how to treat their customers well. Too bad I prefer flying continental (because most of my flyer milage comes from them).

    Despite this, sounds like they are still better than Delta, who has the worst customer service i've ever had the misfortune to experience.

    Southwest Airlines lost $1,000 worth of my clothing on a flight from Albuquerque to LA in 1988. I had come to Houston for a wedding, then gone to New Mexico for a week's vacation. Three suitcases worth.

    I had to sue them in small claims court in order to get money for my clothes that they lost. I haven't flown them since.

    I booked Continental for a flight to New York for Thanksgiving this year....booked it online. Since it's the Wednesday before Thanksgiving I think I better confirm it a couple of times!

    Stuff happens. Relax. I'm sure after enough complaining you'll get what you want and be compensated one way or another. Get over it. Worse things can happen.

    I booked and confirmed my trip to NYC two weeks ago online at Continental.com and had not one problem. That was my fifth trip with these guys (not just to NYC) and everything was done online.
    Oh yeah, I had a blast. Stayed in a posh hotel that was filled with rappers. I was told that they were Fat Joe, Exhibit, and some guys from Wu-Tang.

    Here's a fun thing to do in the airport. When people are waiting for their flight, just stand in front of them until they notice you (it helps to wear all white for Christians) when they do, look into their eyes and whisper to them without any emotion "Don't get on the flight."

    oh, and www.planetfeedback.com does work, (at least for my company, which is a big one) It goes right to someone on top.

    I had a connecting flight with Continental once. When we got to the gate, about 10 minutes from the scheduled departure time, the plane had alredy backed away. Even though they knew we were late (came in on a slightly delayed Continental flight), they left early anyway and blamed us for not being in the gate area 15 minutes early. I had to stay overnight and they naturally, refused to pay for the hotel. Instead of getting home at 9 pm on a Friday night, I got home at noon on Saturday.
