Why not? It couldn't hurt to give him a shot at center in camp and pre-season.

If he sucks, we don't lose anything, and if he becomes a servicable back-up then we got lucky.

I say go for it. Who knows - It might work out, and we can get an overly dramatic half-time show on NBC about his return to the NBA. its always good to get publicity.

Cadillac Anderson is not just a drug dealer but a con-artist as well! I had a friend (well sort of a friend) who was opening up a barber shop in a property owned by anderson. After giving "Cadillac" some down payment money and rent money..around 5k or so, Anderson split and never let the guy move in. I told him he wasn't too smart because he didn't have cadillac sign a contract before he gave him his money, he said he didn't think he needed to b/c , after all, its "Cadillac" Anderson! I say that crook should've been kept in jail. We sure the hell don't need him on the Rockets.

If we picked up Cadillac, brought back T Hamilton and Sam Mack, we could have the "all-traffic" team.

If we picked up Cadillac (PF), brought back T Hamilton (C) and Sam Mack (SF), we could have the "all-traffic" team.

Don't forget Lewis Lloyd (two) and Mitch Wiggins (point). And maybe we could get John Lucas (point backup) back to coach them.;)

    We better sign him quick...;)

Seriously, this is the only pro in his "prime" I've seen shoot a free throw airball that didn't even touch the net. <still snickering>

Well there are some Rockets fans who think that the Rockets brass are on crack after some of these moves during this offseason. I guess bringing in a drug smuggler like "Cadillac" Anderson would confirm this.

Hey guys, whatever happened to Otis Thorpe?

    Isn't he an FA?

Good for 20 minutes off the bench?

Do we have the vetran's minimum exception?

Why don't we just bring back Roy Tarpley from the dead too while we're at it...

Assuming we aren't able to trade for center, who would you prefer Pig or Cadillac as a 3rd option to Cato and Collier?

I haven't heard about Pig much this summer, but last summer he was doing a lot of conditioning work with a trainer.

Now, it sounds as though Cadillac is close to being in playing shape.

Given those two options, which would you prefer? While Pig was with the Rockets, he was among the leaders in the LEAGUE in rebounds per 48 minutes. He just never saw much playing time.

On a team with Cato and Collier as your only centers, I could see a 3rd string center getting some PT during stretches.

I think I saw Chris Washburn in Atlanta the other day. He looked pretty trim and said he'd work for food.

I might be too young to remember him. Did Cadillac Anderson look kinda like an bigger older S. Battier?

Yes, they both had that hairline that started at their eyebrows and had big brown elongated heads. Of course I think Battier's head resembles something more off a Martian landscape with all the canals running through both.
