Well I hope Adrian Peterson decides to come out this year. We should promise to draft him in exchange of him making himself eligible for the draft.
The D clearly hasnt helped but 3 consecutive TDs on our side of the field equals 17 pts. The D has gotten "no breaks whatsoever" in the second half because we cant mount a drive, cant even hold on to the damn ball. The whole team gets an F except maybe D- to the defense. Yes, our D is bad but with any accidentally effort by our non-existent O, we clearly are screwed! Look I have been for Carr but clearly he takes a huge step back this week and it is definitely possible that he is not the leader that will take the Texans to glory. It may be time to bring on Sage and see what he can do.
ya think??? seriously, maybe this should be a separate thread. but who of you would be more surprised if he WAS the "leader that will take the Texans to glory" than if he was not??? at this point, i think the odds are pretty highly against it.
Sorry guys but after this pathetic performance, '19-10' seems like an eternity to go and if's official this team bites! Kuby has some more housecleaning to do and possibly a QB to bench.
MadMax, why is it so easy to blame Carr but so hard to see that he's trapped on a crappy team. Exactly what would you have him do? Throw deep? The Cowboys have been in a cover 2 defense all day because the Texans couldn't run the ball for spit. Run more play-action? See the note above about no running game. Don't forget that the Cowboys dropped 45 points on Tennessee and they can run the ball. I don't like to watch this any more than you because to me, this is Oiler football and I hated watching it then and I hate watching it now. But I'm also a realist. If this was a team stocked with serious talent, then I'd be right there with you calling for his head. The harsh reality is that it's not and won't be for at least 2 more years and even that's dependent on what Kubiak and Smith do to replace the guys in Texans uniforms masquerading as professional football players. They have a mammoth rebuilding job to do and I just hope to God that they are up to the task.
Alright man, enough of the sarcasm. I was simply giving Carr the benefit of the doubt. I cant defend this garbage. Clearly he's a game manager and not a field general. He plays not to lose. I say start Sage and see if we can improve any, ANY whatsoever!
