This sucks. We got a light sprinkling of snow today, nothing to stick though; however, our neighbors to the North (Buffalo) is getting pounded by it. They have about 3 inches of slush on the ground already, with powerlines and trees down. The Mayor urged people to stay indoors, and things are cancelled, etc. I can't believe Winter is starting in October! Plus, on top of that, I have a horrible back ache. About a week ago, I bent over to pick up a chair that was holding a box fan, and when I stood up, my back cracked, and it went numb. Now, it's still hurting - when I sit or stand. It's right near the end of my thoracic spine and the beginning of my lumbar spine, but about 2 inches right of where my spine should be (I don't think I have scoliosis). Now, it's just a constant ache/ pain, and is annoying. I don't wanna go to the doctor, so I'm hoping it's a pinched nerve or something that will go away on its own. Anyone ever had anything like this?
Wasn't that two years ago? I was in town for that. It was great to see my grandmother make a snowman.
im actually in chicago right now and this morning it was snowing. it started off as a little flury and then within no time it started pounding. it was great. ive been to colorado plenty of times but never experienced anything like this before. but then the sun came out and it melted away, but it was still freezing. might snow some more tonight. also, this was the earliest in the season its ever snowed here, so i witnessed history!
I've been here for 3 and a half years now, and this is the earliest, by far, that I remember it snowing. We get tons here though.
Its been snowing today in Minneapolis and the low is 25 tonight. It was sleeting yesterday and I had to make a site visit up in rural MN where they were it was building up and not melting. Its supposed to be back in the 50's by Sat..
When I was checking the weather last week they said there was a very low chance of snow for today. In fact we took it so seriously we did all our sight seeing on Tuesday (lucky for me it's a good thing we did - I got to meet the entire Bulls at Navy Pier). Hell there's no way I would be walking around right now in this kind of cold.
why it snowed here too in southwest Houston.. I made a snowman and had snow fights and everything.. I"ll post up pictures later
That's insane. I was just in Chicago for 10 weeks this summer (mid June to until mid August), and it was HOT!
Go see a doctor. I've had back surgery, and you don't want to take any chances. It could be something relatively minor that could become serious due to lack of treatment. Try ice packs for at least 20 minutes, which will reduce the amount of pain, and perhaps swelling and inflamation. Try taking long hot baths. Advil is an anti-inflammatory, and you can take up to 4 at a time, every 8 hours, if your stomach can handle it. Be careful bending, and lift with your legs, with your back straight. Don't sit on hard surfaces for any length of time, and don't sit in chairs or sofas that don't support your back. And go see a doctor. Lots of sex does wonders, by the way.
Be careful, that prisinor or ghoulish creature or whatever you saw will need to keep warm and may try to come into your house.
Vengeance, Where in Chicago are you? Up in Lakeview we got some this morning (well, thats what I was told, I slept through it) but not a whole lot. It is f'n cold though.
I ran this morning here in Houston and this is the first time it felt a little autumn-y. I like the cold air in my lungs.
Yeah, that was two years ago. I remember it pretty well because that was the Christmas I proposed to my wife.
