If thats the case then Rudy T., and Carroll Dawson need to be fired for pulling off the worst trade in Rockets History, by giving up
Othella Harrington, and Michael Dickerson for a guy who sits on the bench behind Bryce freakin Drew.

Also, that so damn Queer to exclaim that, "BRYCE DREWS THE MAN" when the Rockets get embarassed by the New Jersey Nets. Drew shoots 5-13 and gets torched by the worst shooting point gaurd in the leauge; Sherman Douglas. Now all of sudden BRYCE DREW'S THE MAN!

Bryce Drew in this game stunk as a point guard, exelled at hitting the 3s, but that's completely negated as he didn't get the teammates involved.

    Min 34 5-13 4-5(3PFG) Ast 3 TOT 2

That's a bad game even for a backup point guard, he should be moved to the sg if judged by this game alone.

Just because he has the flu doesn't mean that he should play less. Look at how many spectacular things Jordan was able to pull off even though he had the flu.

sherman douglas was chunking up prayers. i don't think Bryce was playing bad defense at all on him. About 5 of those 7 baskets were chunked up there and somehow went in. And I don't think he's as bad a shooter as Calvin was making him seem though.

Drew has had less total minutes than Francis in his career, imo.... and he doesn't turn the ball over. He's not as good of a player, but I'm SICK OF PEOPLE ATTACKING DREW FOR THE SAME THINGS FRANCIS DOES.

Francis doesn't get teamates involved much, he turns the ball over, and his shooting percentage isn't good. He isn't playing great D either. I like this guy alot, but some of you have a GROSS double standard.

Drew just doesn't get teamates involved, and doesn't have a good %.

I do know about that. Drew has been playing well the last few games. Drew has filled in nicely . I think Rudy has found his backup PG. Wasn't that Bryce Drew outplaying Jason Kidd the other night?

Since when should everybody be held up to Michael Jordan's standard?

Drew's defense was full of holes, Francis was shooting better than him, and with Francis on the floor the Rockets were leading, after Drew came in everything changed. How can you call that double standard. Francis is playing much better ball than Drew this game. We got nothing in the freaking ball game from Drew, all his shots came from the closing garbage munutes which meant squat.

What makes me sick is that people in this city are too damn impatient.

Every single year, "Oh we need a point guard!!! Ohhh, Maloney sucks!! Oh, I wish we had a point guard...Oh Damon Stoudamire!!"

The Rockets then pull off the biggest trade in NBA history, bring in the best guard to come out in years, and then the fans expect him to be Magic Johnson or something.

Steve has some mistakes and starts playing poorly and now everyone wants to bench him.

"Turns the ball over too much...bench him. Drew is better.."

I apologize for the tone, but this is making me sick.

Drew ( I hade to admit it) is running the offense well. I argued he was more of a SG, but we do well with him.

He may allow us to play small ball and move francis to the 2, and Anderson/Mobley to the 3.

I think this may be a good thing to try this year. Remember Phoenix a couple years ago used the small ball to force mis matches and eventually make the playoffs. It couldn't hurt, at least it gets Walt out of the starting 5.

As for a backup PG, francis can still slide there when we bring Mobley of the bench to relieve Francis.

He is good, Francis is better but an't showing his skills. Sure Bryce Drew didn't shoot as well today but lets compare some stats here.

    Bryce Drew shoots 43% FG
Bryce Drew shoots 41% for 3's
Bryce Drew shoots 82% Free throws
    Rebounds 1.5 a game
    21 minutes a game

    now lets look at Francis
    Shoots 43% at FG
    shoots 31$ at 3's
    shoots 75% at Free Throws
    Rebounds 5 a game
    has 4.2 Turnovers a game (76)
    35 minutes a game

How has the last laugh? Me!

I admit, Steve Francis is better. But like Walt Williams is showing he doesn't really want to play and his turnovers cost as games. Bryce Drew is 10 times better a SG, which he was at Collage getting 22 points a game.
SO NOW WHAT? GOING TO BASH DREW SOME MORE? WELL CAN'T REALLY NOW LOOK AT THE STATS ABOVE!
