If you believe the tv coverage of the NBA finals a few months ago.....

but hey, they had to do something to spice that series up. I just wish they would have kept the cameras on Cuban during his little acts at the end of a few games. But Stern probably would have had a cow with the network.

Can't wait to watch Yao toast the Mavs' centers.

On surface yeah, but in reality it's more complicated than that. One thing you need to factor in is the rebounding. And there are several aspects of the rebounding to consider on this matter:

    1) Missed 3-pt shots are more likely to result in longer rebounds than missed 2-pt shots inside the 3-pt line, and more so than the missed shots in the paint.

    2) Offensive rebounds are generally more difficult to grab than defensive rebounds.

    3) While it's difficult to assess whether 1) or 2) has more impact on the game -- depending on the each team's rebounding strenths, both inside and at the peripheral, missed 3-pt shots are more likely to lead to easier fast break points by the opponents.

I bet most teams would prefer taking 50%-accuracy inside shots to 33%-accuracy 3-pt shots.

Pulling an "A-Rod": Playing amazingly, but only when it doesn't matter. AKA, the Anti-Clutch factor.

Erica Dampier is the best in the west at playing with her balls.

Also, Dampier suffers from vicious case of "chin-nuts"...

What? he coached the rockets to championship....get out of town!

    Well duh, i know that.

i'm sorry to upset you so much but its true. The rockets were severly talent depleted, and mostly due to horrible drafts and poor signings toward the end of rudy's tenure. Its sad, but true.

Im a rudy fan like any other rocket fan (im a fan of his daughters too, but that story is one for an adult thread), but i am also being realistic.
Rudy was a great rocket and a great coach ...for most of his career. But to not realize that his last few seasons were not good is just looking at the world with blinders on.

    Dampier who??
(note: I cannot overtly show my sarcasm, but try to remember that its there. Eric Dampier sucks a lot of four-letter words)

JVG, didn't say anything about Ryan Bowen, the non shooting SF signed to a guaranteed contact and luther (it takes me 10 minutes to get off) head who is too small to play the 2 and no handle to play the 1. If Jeff wants to complain, he should complain about everyone.
