So the Nuggets are actually going with their current roster?

Melo's jump shot is fine. He was on fire the whole year last year (except for the playoffs). Denver, like most teams, has flaws, and their biggest one is their lack of 3pt shooting. JR Smith really improved on his 3pt shot last year, so if he continue that trend, Denver will be a solid bet to win 50 games and the North division. Minn is not that far behind...their talent is good enough to contend with Denver.

If they are banking on JR Smith to be their starting SG for the full season they are dead. Melo will carry that team on his back as far as he can, but he can only do so much. Camby will get injured so they can only hope Nene fully recovers and plays decent minutes. I don't care about the sweet talk between Karl and K-Mart. Before the season is over this team will implode. Something will happen between Karl and either K-Mart or JR Smith. It just about time for George to wear out his welcome.

It is a shame this franchise didn't add another key player to help Carmelo. Instead, they do stupid things like give Nene a ridiculous contract he will never earn and sign Reggie Evans to a long term deal.

Nuggets management is out of control. They should have just kept Kiki because he wouldn't have done any worse.

I think JR smith has a lot of talent and he could have a breakout year this year. If he stays on task and doesnt get in the dog house, he could really help this team.

Sounds like the exact language used to describe one, Stromile Swift when he arrived in Houston last year.

Color me skeptical. I like Smith a lot but if he couldn't flourish under Scott, there's even less of a chance that he flourishes under an ultra-disciplinarian like George Karl.

Which is why we got him for nothing and why I'm thankful we got bonzi to start at shooting guard. The guy is a clone of JR Smith in terms of having worldy athleticism but being inconsistent as hell. There's a reason both of them went cheap.
