Did anybody else do the first 500 Season Tix deal for the free Miami trip?

    Got my season tickets today and just wondering if anybody else did this deal. Got my package last month and its going to be a blast, hoping to leave a day early so I can go around the city.

    btw, the deal was, if you were one of the first 500 new season ticket holders this season, they paid for an all expense trip to Miami and watch the game vs. the Heat on Nov. 12, everything is paid for including airfare, tickets to the game, hotel accomodations, and even $10 spending money while at the game.

    Even after the game, there will be a meet and greet with the broadcasters and players.

    Just don't be suckered into paying the taxes. My mom won tickets to the superbowl in san diego off 610 and while they payed for everything they made her pay the taxes for it even though they didn't let her know that until afterwords.

    Does anybody remember at the Draft Party after the Rudy Gay deal had "supposedly" gone through and the crowd was all pissed, when the Rockets promo squad guy was like...

    "Hold on everybody...hold on, I've got great news...I was just told in my ear JUST NOW, that...[pause]...wait how about before I tell you the news, we throw some T-shirts?!?"

    "Ok everybody...ok...are you ready for the big news? I was just told in my ear a minute ago...that if you buy season tickets today, you're going to get to go on a trip with the team for a road game!"

    [everyone leaves after realizing that the "big news" had nothing to do with Rudy Gay]



    That really pissed me off how they played with the crowds emotions like that.

    well, you're supposed to pay taxes on it. or were you just surprised they made her pay as soon as she got the tickets?

    Horrible memories. I really felt bad for the guy, and I felt bad for the players on stage who were just as confused as we were. You could tell Juwan Howard was thinking WTF while he was talking.

    Ya I am too! Me and my GF. We talked to the Rockets and got our flight changed to Friday departure instead of Sunday. We just have to pay for a hotel on Friday and Saturday night. We are not going to stay at the same one as Sunday though. It was too expensive. I can't wait!
