I figured I'd start this here. I know Clutch is working on his recap for the day. He spoke with several guys including McGrady, JVG and others. But, he was having some issues with the wireless internet at his hotel, so it might be a little bit before anything is posted.

Na it sucks being in austin cause they are within 5 minutes of me and i dont know at what gym and i have been told that JVG will not let anybody in
Just to clear something up...NO team in the NBA allows fans in for training camp. It's just not done. JVG is just much more stringent in enforcing this rule, but even media is only allowed in AFTER practice to interview players. It's not as if every team in the league is letting fans hang out at practice and the Rockets are excluding fans. I've been following the team for 25 years and I can't remember a year when they let fans off the street into training camp or practices except for open practices and special circumstances. Every year, people complain about the inability to go to camp and every year I wonder why anyone complains since it is the same every year for every team.
Ahh Finally! I can remember this time last year. So much anticipation! and this year after that crap year we had last year, you gotta think things can only get better!! Be great to read what you guys got..keep up the great work!!
I noticed on NBATV ch 101 that they are showing training camps live. Yesterday it was the Hornets.Today is the Wizzards 8:00. Yes I'm hard up enough to watch them. Need Hoops!
I'm not really complaining, i guess im just sad lol , but this is really my first go-round with the training camp being anywhere near where i am so i was just wondering but its no big deal. Thx for clearing that up
It helps if you have connections with the coach at the school they're having training camp. You might even get to take a piss next to Rudy T!

Going to camp and talking with players doesn't feel like work at all, but transcribing all the tape afterwards literally takes hours. I stop, rewind, replay, etc. several times. "Did Yao say, 'I hocked a loogie' or 'I like Azubuike'?" ... that kind of stuff. Last night just had a ton of other things going on in preparation and had to get the two photo gallery pages up after Jeff sized and touched up all the images and thumbnails. I have to visit family/friends in Austin, but I should have a story or two more up by late, late tonight or early morning. Hope you enjoy it.
