I just got a 700P for Sprint and I can't seem to download an adobe flash player on it. I've tried searching for it but can't seem to find a good link or a yes/no on whether it can be done. Has anyone been able to download a flashplayer onto their Treo or palm?
trying to install Adobe Flash? To view flash on websites? I do not think there is a plugin yet for the Blazer Browser, but u may be able to find 3rd party software that offer browsers that will support flash.
How do you like it? i had the 650 now moved on to the 6700 and was thinking about going with the treo again...
dont like the 6700? Thats the new thing everybody likes, but then again, not many people are fans of the keyboard sliding to the right, which is why im getting the Samsung i730 instead. There is a new UT StarCom/Audiovox in which Verizon should be getting soon called the Libra also, the 750 are announced and should be coming out soon
I finally broke down and bought a SmartPhone after about 1-1.5 years of searching : a BlackBerry 8100/Pearl. I just thought I'd add that.
i have the treo 700p and i love it, havent found a flash player though or needed 1...but that pearl phone is sweet, only played around on it for 5 minutes but i liked it better than mine...any negatives to it?
I love it, but it is my first smartphone so I've just been going nuts with it. I would stay away from the 700W (windows), my brother just gone one a couple weeks back and he says it's way complicated compared to the P.
really? i dont think its complicated at all. If your an avid windows user, it should be second nature to you, but I guess if you have used palm all of your life, then yea, i'd stick to the p version. btw, i do work for WDTS (Wireless Data Tech Support) for Verizon and work with PDAs everyday at work. If yall have any questions, ill answer them as best as i can.
Yeah... can't find a good holster for it. The BlackBerry software/capabilities are awesome - now I know why people always rave about it. I'm also with TMobile which doesn't have as good coverage as Cingular. Cingular will be getting the Pearl shortly.
For the Verizon 6700 PPC do you experience times where the phone goes completely black and unresponsive? When trying to make a call to the phone it does not respond and it requires a soft reset (holding the power reset does nothing). At work we are moving from Blackberries to PPC's and we have the Alltel 6700's and we've had a handful of employees that are having this problem. It's a bare system other than Credant encryption application. When working with Alltel support they are not sure, but recommend a hard reset and the problems re-occur. Have you experienced anything similar?
I still like my 6700 but was thinking about going back to a newer treo because it was always a lot faster then the windows based ppc. But at the same time i love all the windows type features of it as well. It's a bind to be in but ill wait a bit and see what else comes out. i saw the Libra on the pdaphonehome website and thought it looked pretty cool. Lets see what sprint comes out with in the near future.
FrancisFan, do you know if there is a software update for the device? not sure if you have verizon, but on our website we have an update for the device. The software update fixed alot of issues for our customers. EDIT: whoops u do have Verizon, must read carefully next time: try this driver update http://www.utstar.com/pcd/downloads/APAC_VZW_20720_200_11000_Ship.exe
Actually they're Alltel's (I made it unclear) and the only updates compatible with the device is the AKU2 update (which is on the devices). An Alltel Corporate sales guy said that his 6700 does the same thing (not really some-thing you want to hear when you buy 50 inital phones with plans of another 100 in 6 months). I wish we would go with Verizon or even Cingular, but they're seeking consistancy and overall coverage (we have offices throughout the country).
