Dude..the article talks about the trade between Shandon Anderson and Glen Rice--which last time I checked had to do with the Rockets which means it belongs in this forum. Dude...get a clue.

Actually, the article talks about Knicks demise because of their cap problems and mention of Anderson is in Knicks regard. The article has nothing to do with Houston Rockets. :p

If you believe that, then good FOR YOU, Bucktroll!!! The point, nimrod, is that contrary to what Freak, JAG, and others have been saying that the Glen Rice trade might have not been so bad after all for the Rockets. It's called "reading between the lines". :p :p :p :p :p :p

Don't you love it when someone's only contribution to the discussion is to tell you that the post is in the wrong area?

Only a dozen or so more posts like that, gentlemen, and you'll be full-fledged members!

Bucktroll: I'll SPELL this out for you and make it easy that way even someone as simpleminded as you can get it (or maybe not). As mentioned in an earlier post, there was lots of weeping and gnashing of teeth when the Rockets got Rice. Freak, Shanna, and JAG were just a couple of the people who thought that this was a bad trade for the Rockets. Now, let's look at a quote from Mr. Denberg's article:
    "Look at this trade.

The Knicks had gotten Rice from the Lakers to do a job he wasn't equipped to handle. Rice wilted in the hot lights on Broadway. Crushed by the weight of expectation, he is shunted off to Houston. Texas, that is. Muggsy Bogues, a broken down throw-in, goes to Dallas. In return, the Knicks pick up $77 million in salaries through 2007 (they owed Rice and Bogues a combined $30 million).

Layden complicated the point guard situation for Van Gundy by making Eisley the third wheel with virtually unswappable Charlie Ward and Mark Jackson. Anderson gets leftover minutes from Latrell Sprewell at small forward and Mr. Big Budget Houston at shooting guard. Sprewell played 39.2 minutes a night last season, Houston 36.6.

Are Anderson and Eisley going to step up in New York? Doubtful.

Anderson is a slasher, not a shooter -- and the new defensive rules mitigate against him."

Even YOU can see that Mr. Denberg is not jumping up and down in excitement for the Knicks on this trade. So, even though there are people here who thought this was a bad deal for the Rockets, here's a major SPORTSWRITER that essentially said this was a terrible deal for the Knicks. It's too bad that Denberg didn't share his feelings about Rice and if he thought the Rockets got taken to the cleaners. However, it's pretty apparent from his tone that the Knicks came out for the worse on this deal (but it must not have been too APPARENT to someone like you who doesn't like to use their brain to think about things).

Did the article talk bad about the Knicks? Yes, it did. Does it really belong on a Rockets forum? While the article definitely focused on the Knicks and their situation, the mere fact that this trade is considered by this sportswriter to be a bad one for the Knicks is extremely relevant to the Rockets, especially when there are people here who felt that it was a bad deal for the Rockets. I'm sorry that you couldn't see that, but then again why do you care? You like the Bucks, don't you?

BTW -- Good luck on your GED this weekend. Something tells me that you are going to need it!! :p :p :p :p :p :p

LOL! The article is still all NY! Absolutely nothing to do with Houston. Your explanation for your logic was horrible, as was in other articles.

Somehow I doubt I will ever take GEDs after having graduated from Master's program.:p

Ok y'all. I have no problem sometimes that things might slip into the Rockets Forum if it slighty includes the Rockets. However, please check to see if it was posted in the NBA Forum as well. It was that is all. I am not trying to be negative Manny but it hard seeing the same thing in numerous places.

If Clutch or one of the admins have a problem with this, they will be the first to let you know.

In the mean time, don't worry about it until Clutch hands you your Jr Moderator badge.

Like your logic is any better? I saw your idiotic responses to the thread on the Bucks. I'm really going to lose some sleep tonight, because Bucktroll doesn't have a clue. Your grad school must have been hard up for money to let a blob of protoplasm like you in!! What was your major?? Trolling or was it Stupidity??

However, you did give me a good laugh!! So much, that I going to change my signature!! Thanks!!:D
