    JJC,

Please ignore the (unfortunately rampant) idiots on this board. Those of us who are reasonable appreciate the information you provided, because it adds color to an apparent transaction which has been agreed to but not closed - and those of us who have been around long enough to remember when Damon Stoudamire was traded from the Raptors to the Rockets, as reported by ESPN and other outlets, understand that these things are not done until they are signed!

Plus, those of us who have met Jeff Van Gundy, or even paid any attention to his press conferences, or remember the fine he received for trashing the refs during the Dallas series, understand that what your friend reported is absolutely in keeping with Jeff's style. At a season ticket holder event at the Belvedere a couple of months ago, after he openly discussed the team and scolded Luther Head in absentia (he apparently had agreed to show up at the event but was nowhere to be found) and Rafer Alston in person (about his bad shooting), he complained to me that River Oaks Baptist, where his daughter goes to school, was hitting him up for a donation after he had paid his daughter's five figure tuition and before she had even gone to school. "Not even one day in class!"

Which is illustrative of another Van Gundy characteristic, a pessimistic / cynical streak.

I absolutely believe you and your friend - let's hope Jeff was just being his usual pessimistic self and the details get ironed out so Bonzi can sign when he gets back in town.

As for those of you who have been trashing JJC and his friend, has it ever occured to some of you morons that JJC could be telling the truth without the information in the Chron story being false? Just because Bonzi actually is out of town at a wedding doesn't mean the deal couldn't be hitting a snag somehow! Your shocking levels of ignorance and rudeness are the primary reasons I for one hardly ever post on this board anymore, and I'm certain there are others who are in the same boat. So if you choose not share going forward, JJC, I understand. Too bad it will be a loss to all of us who love hearing Rockets scoop from everyday people on the street, who, believe it or not, occasionally do get good information - sometimes even better than the "official" word coming from a player, agent, team or reporter!!

No offense to the poster but this is really a rumor until it can be verified...

The cynical approach by most posters is dueto bogus reports in the past...

Listen bigshot, you need to watch your name calling. So anyone who calls bs on the info is a moron or an idiot. You are talking about rudeness and ignorance and being reasonable and you post those insults. I for one, did not insult anyone. I just called bs on the info. You need to look in the mirror before you post.

It's not officially determined Yaoza whether you are a YES MAN, but you have pretty much eliminated all doubt as to whether or not you are an ignorant moronic idiot.

Whether or not you're a moron is beside the point. The point is, you're posting like one.

I appreciate anyone willing to post information in good faith. It's a shame that some choose to crap all over it like you admit to doing. I'm also interested in hearing more about your close relationship to JVG. It's always nice to have a resource such as yourself into the deep, inner workings of JVG's mind. Glad to have you aboard.

Or am I being a "YESMAN"?

Your entitled to your opinions. However, the fact remains that I am calling BS to his info and not to him as a person. If people conclude that this is a deterrent to future new hearsay-threads....that is the decision of contributing members to make. This is in contrast to insults that the above posters have made. So you both don't like me/or the way I have posted. Thats ok. I know we have an important thing in common--we love the Rockets. So at least we have that.

BTW--I do not want to be a disruption on this board, however I think it is ok to disagree. Perhaps links of dogs doing business and using "bs" is not a good approach--thats on me. But I know people have a right to discount the validity of heresay posts--which I will continue to do, but just more respectfully. Peace.

I confimed that JJL7329 is correct on his posting. I was with a couple of the Rockets player last night and they were at T-mac wedding reception in Sugarland. JVG told them that a couple of days ago there was a problem with the signing and he had to send Keith Jones to meet with Wells. I dont know what the problems were. So we'll see if he signs this week.

Keith Jones? That would mean that Wells might have and injury that we don't know about.

Agreed, Keith Jones would not be sent to visit Bonzi if it were a contractural issue.

Truth or fiction only Jeffy's hairdresser knows for sure and the saga continues. Is this an elaborate hoax of deception schemed up by 3 clutchfans members, one of which rarely posts another who only has posted once and now a third who is reporting more smoke on the grassy knoll but is a first time poster. Did they conspire to pull this hoax months in advance or perhaps poster 2 and 3 or independent cells seeing an opportunity to gain some fame by propagating poster number ones lies. Yes the plot thickens, not since the JFK single bullet theory have we had such mystery. Of course now more posters are sure to cannibilize this new info as just more lies by full of **** posters. There is that slim chance they are all reporting the truth. Nah, let the crusades continue.

Not necessarily. Keith Jones is the team trainer, but I believe that it does entail some administrative duties. Not to mention that he's probably got connections with players all over the league, and could be the person in the organization with the best relationship with Bonzi.

I'm definitely holding my breath until they've got him officially signed.

So does that make you a post Nazi for criticizing people for posting their opinions?

The Cavs agreement was against league rules, thus it was an illegal contract and non-binding.

OK, I'm confused. He was married on Tuesday, September 12.

    http://www.hoopsvibe.com/nba/nba-ce...rady-marries-longtime-girlfriend-ar34295.html

So, they had his wedding reception 2 weeks later when that type of info would have been available from JVG?
