http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/powerranking?season=2007&week=-1 Signing a desperate Bonzi on the cheap? Had to do it. Now can T-Mac and Yao stay healthy? Had to ask . . . no matter how much better their supporting cast looks.
No...I have posted many times but it never seems to update. Anyhow, I just noticed that this was bundled with [Kerr] Rockets 8th best in the west thread so feel free to lock unless it is worth while of being in a separte thread.
I'm not sure what you mean - you don't have any other posts on the site. Not that it matters... but it's not an updating problem.
The rankings make sense as of now. Our team didnt do to much last year to be ranked higher but as the season goes along I feel that the rockets are going to to be one of the top three teams in the west. We will be ahead of the clippers thats for sure. If the rox can keep the three point precentages high during the season we will have a scary team to deal with in the playoffs
Yep, this kind of stuff will continue until Yao and T-Mac prove they can play 82 games and get out of the 1st round. They just have to show and not tell. Even if their record is the best in the west 2 months into it and they are kicking azz and taking names.....they still will say its not how you start its how you finish, its a long season--and that's kinda true. If they play strong down to the 82nd game...they will say--can they get out of the first round....so and and so forth. I pray for health and hope for the best.
Sorry I can't start a new thread yet, but here is an article from www.sportsline.com by Tony Mejia. It's about the signing of Wells and what he brings to our team. Check it out. http://www.sportsline.com/nba/story/9692097
why do these rankings keep saying, blah, blah, blah, if yao ming and tracy mcgrady can be healthy? yes last year sucked and both guys were hurt, but that is by all accounts in the past. individually yao ming has been an iron man as far as games played and tracy has been a lot better than the average perception. if dwayne wade is healthy they can be favorites in the east again. you could do it for any team.
What's amazing is how they can always find some way to cast doubts on Yao... "Soft" is gone, "Injury Prone" is now in... Come on, the guy missed like 3 games prior to last season!
Broken bones in a big man's feet are serious and there is always a danger of it happening again. Enough has been said about Tracy's back problem. In many minds, he has more to prove next season than. Some people feel his back will only get progressively worse and he will never be the same player again. So, yes, our season literally rests on Tracy's back and Yao's feet.
If you are going to rank the rockets base on t-mac and yao injuries than you should do it for every other top team because injuries can happen to any other team. I would consider Rockets atleast top5 material right now.
Clutch, I was at 552 posts, and I swear I must have made 20 posts, none of which were deleted, and it stayed at 552. Then suddenly the posts all disapeared for no reason (and there was no reason they would have been removed, nor were the threads the posts were in removed), once this happened my post count would then increase with each new post. I also remember this happening around 330 something posts as well. There is a glitch somewhere. Just because other self-described "regulars" have not noticed it, does not mean it is not happening.
It's called the "non-contributing member tax"...get used to it. And I also realize that I should probably contribute again.
