SOME spurs fans have class. I hate spurs fans. Especially the band wagon riders. but the TRUE hardcore fans that I frequently debate and make bets with on basketball, are very upclass fans.

Dallas on the other hand...man ALL those schmucks are bandwagon riders

I know they won 60 games and were up 2-0 in the Finals, but I think we have surpassed them this offseason. We would have won at least 50 gms with last years team (we were 21-10 with Tmac and Yao together) and now you add two players, who will not only help the Rockets individually, but the impact they will have on the rest of them team is huge. Shane Battier takes SOOO much pressure off Tmac defensively and Bonzi Wells will take some pressure off on offense. Tracy get rest more and stay healthier, instead of carrying the team along with Yao.

We have two dominant, and I mean dominant, MVP candidate players with Tracy and Yao, one of the best basketball IQ and defensive players in the league and an Olypic starter in Battier, and a guy in Wells who can shoot, score in bunches, post up at will on guards, superior rebounder, and excels in the playoffs. A solid PG in Alston, who when playing with TMac and Yao, was playing great basketball and putting double-doubles routinely. And now we have a ton of depth. Howard, Head, Hayes, Snyder, V-Span, Lucas, Novak...

    Dallas -

    C - Diop
    PF - Nowitzki
    SF - Josh Howard
    SG - Terry
    PG - Harris

    Houston -

    C - Yao
    PF - Battier
    SF - McGrady
    SG - Wells
    PG - Alston

Dallas better look the f out, the only teams that can play with us are SA, DAL, PHO, maybe Miami and maybe Detroit. This team could win 60.

I wonder what the Mavs fans are gonna say when they see a bunch of Rockets fans making fun of their organization and Roy Tarpley for his drug abuse problems. It's not like drugs have ever cost the Rockets a season or possible shot at a ring, right? Oh waaaitaminnit... there was that whole Lew Lloyd, John Lucas, Mitchell Wiggins thing...

Geez guys... if you're gonna represent... :)

Eric Dampier is obviously the best center now that Shaq is on the decline. No competition. Yao will just have to settle for second.

Ericka Dampier claims he's the best center in the WNBA.

SO WE SHOULD MAKE T-MAC A GREAT DEFENDER BY MAKING HIM GUARD POINT GUARDS AND THEN TAKE THE BEST ASPECT OF HIS GAME AND RENDER IT USELESS UNTIL THE END OF GAMES

THAT'S PRETTY DUMB, LUCKILY THIS GUY WILL END UP BEING SCARED ANYWAY.

Are you talking about this post?

"yao would make the 2nd best center in the L look silly"

I think the Mavs fan was trying to diss Dampier. He replied to someone who said in a previous post that a matchup of Dampier on Yao would be interesting. And he meant Yao would make the one who claimed to be the 2nd best center in the L look silly.

    my experience too

there is nothing worse than dallas fans. in any sport.

what's funny to me is that you don't have to be in houston to feel this way. i know guys all over the country who feel the exact same way about dallas fans. a special breed of jackasses.

i'm soooo excited to see the Rockets get going!

Dallas is VERY good, and I honestly don not think the Rockets will have a better record than they do this season. The Rockets have too many new components to meld together.

That being said, the playoffs will be interesting. A healthy Rockets team can get with ANY team in the league, just like a healthy Mavs, Spurs, or other good team can do the same.

This is the Rockets return to the fray that is the top of the league. It'll be fun.
