It's the same for everyone else. Without Dirk, TD, Brand, KG, Kobe, Nash, what will those teams be? The list can go forever, not to mention to pick 2 top players out of every single team. So his comment on Rockets is worthless. But his comment never really had any value to begin with. I am fine with that.
This is the West, Kerr did a Top 25 ranking of the whole league and the Rockets didn't even make it. I was gona post it when it came out earlier this week but everybody knows Kerr is a douche.
No I'm not giving this follower respect. Bonzi is simply using us, despite the fact I've never found myself so happy for that. Bonzi wasn't 'lured' into Houston, like Stromile(majority on Tracy's side), it was simply business. It was more of Tom Thibadeau and T-Mac than CD.
kerr is a douche...needless to say he is a horrible announcer as well. Bonzi is simply using us i have no problem with that. thats just more motivation for him to play well.
I don't mind Kerr as an announcer, but this article is ridiculous and OBVIOUSLY before we picked up Bonzi. He's just wrong. Rockets playing for at LEAST the four spot in the west. An injury to Duncan or Dirk and we do even better....
Top five West Teams if all healthy and with current roster: 1) Suns (Amare, Diaw, Marion, Bell, Nash) 2) Rox (Yao, Battier, Tmac, Bonzi, Alston) 3) Mavs (Diop, Nowitzki, Howard, Stackhouse, Terry) 4) Spurs (Elson, Duncan, Bowen, Ginobli, Parker) 5) LA Clippers (Kaman, Brand, Maggette, Mobley, Cassell)
As long as we know were better than the 8th best team and can prove the haters wrong I'm fine with that. Who cares what Steve Kerr thinks. Besides come about next May or so our bandwagon will be full.
Kerr is a douche. Almost all his predictions of the results of last season went wrong. Yet the guy's still shameless.
I think he was pretty fair. But with the Bonzi signing we go from 8th to 4th. I agree with him about Minny. Let's not forget we were really high on James and Foye, that nearly was our backcourt. You mix KG with those shooters and scorers, and I think Minny is a playoff team. Pre-Bonzi deal I couldn't honestly put us ahead of them because of so far ahead there backcourt was in talent and production.
I don't think Kerr's ranking is that much off. Two things play into his ranking, last place finish in 2005-2006 season, and a star with a history of injury problem. With that being said, it's pretty fair to put the Rockets at 8th place. Among starting five for the Rockets, three of them were here last year, but didn't get to play much together due to injury; now you get a couple new guys coming in, which will take time for the team to jell. If everyone can stay healthy, I think we can be anywhere between 4 to 8, competing with the Clppers, the Kings, the Laker, and the Wolfers. For us to be in top three, catch up the Spurs, the Mavs, and the Suns, we need to play at a high level to win 55+ games, which is very hard to do with this roster.
I think Kerr spends a lot of time on his knees (Thanks, ABC, ESPN) in L.A. Probably kisses some a$$ in Sacramento with the Maloofs. Hence, the Lakers and the Kings have big question marks but still get placed in the playoffs. The Wolves did add talent but are probably set to implode. Anyway, Kerr doesn't change.
