He played inspired ball out there and showed alot once again.I wish he would have been in the game more in the fourth. With the Rockets big man coaches working with him,if he shows any kind of work ethic ,Carlos can be a better player than Othella.I know that's saying alot, but the talent is there. The Rockets showed a ton of heart tonight.

THANK YOU!!!!!! Why wasnt Rogers in the game in the fourth! I understand Kenny Thomas has been on a tear as of late but Carlos Rogers has the hot hand tonight. His jumpshot was going in too. Rudy is making some no brain decisions in the fourth as of late.

Wow. Carlos had Barkley-like numbers. Double double. What a nice surprise! Keep it up, Carlos. I didn't know he could get rebounds that good.

Carlos played good tonight. I don't think he has a feel for the game yet. Francis boinked a pass right off his chest. If Carlos was looking he had a dunk.

I did not mind him not being in there, Rudy went with the squad that got the Rockets back in the game. You ride the hot hand so to speak.

I find it astonishing that the Rockets are HEAD and SHOULDERS better with Drew playing then Francis. I am super dissappointed with the way Steve plays. I thought he passed the ball. He is looking like a poor man's Iverson right now.

Thats the problem he has. He cant dribble or hold the ball. He always loses it.

That is the problem a lot of Rockets have right now...

Francis, Cato, Rogers, Williams. Take your pick..we are turnover central.

Rogers is a tweener and a good one, if you don't like his fumbling, Cato's slippy hands are a much bigger concern.

I am very disappointed at the way Cato has been playing, along with Francis'. Cato has no real offensive skills, is a soft rebounder, can't catch the ball in traffic, as for his shotblocking, last time I checked he is ranking at the 20th in the league at only 1.63 a game. Ironically Rudy predicted Cato is going to lead the league in shotblocking this season. The beer company must have sent him some free coupons. This pretty much shows Rudy's eyesight. What happened to Cato's triple doubles? was ti a fluke? It seems to me Rudy and Dawson are good at drafting, but they are absolute boneheads in terms of spoiling players. 7 millions a year, that can buy lots of groceries.

I'm with you on those thoughts, FF. I think the triple double was a fluke (at this point in his career). I think that triple double got too many hopes up. Cato is extremely raw. But I think the Rockets coaching staff will do some wonderful things with Cato. They've done some nice work with lots of big men. But I too am very disappointed in his rebounding.

Carlos is really showing some heart for the rockets, and I believe he was a great p/u in the trade. Cato is not superstar potential, and so he will have to manufacture his game like O has. Give them both some time and they will be solid contributors in a starting or backup position. I look forward for T Mass to come back and start some games for us, and combo w/ Carlos. That will be an effective PF rotation. Our Center position seems to be in the most trouble, but I haven't watched the last 5 games so I am behind in the latest action.

    FF-
You stole my answer. Carlos is too soft to play the 4, and maybe too slow to play the 3.
He has talent but he is either going to have to adapt his game to one of these positions, or hope that the Rockets are willing to give something up on defense when he is in there.
I like him, just he's not a protypical NBA player. Not a typical 3 or 4, but it would be nice if he could be a Garnett type and become a big SF. Needs to work on his quickness it this is going to happen.

I'd like him to hit the weights hard in the offseason. As far as his bad hands, they should get better the more pt he gets during the season.I believe he just hasn't been on the court enough despite all his stops in the NBA.
