Mobley, last summer has shown the work ethic that when combined with the talent and athleticism he possesses should turn him into a helluva player. If it came down to it I would give him 4yrs./20mil.Forget about trading this guy.Play Shandon at the 3.We need a stud power forward.I'd sign Mobes and start him alongside SF and SA.

Cuttino is definitely showing me heart, maturity and leadership as well as talent. I would hate to lose him, Stevie or Shandon. I think you keep those three and build. A big, strong power forward with a defensive mind is what I want now. Cato will be fine hopefully, eventually at center with Hamilton backing him up (I really like Hamilton)when Hakeem retires. With Chuck gone, even if Carlos makes up his numbers like he did tonight, we still need another power forward. TMass seems to be hurt all the time. If possible, this season, I would trade TMass and Walt (even though I think he will come out of his slump)for a decent power forward if that would do it. If I have to give up Shandon, Cuttino or Drew (man, he has made us all eat crow), I think I would just do the best I could this season and not trade. Maybe Devin Gray will be a nice surprise but at 6'7", I would like someone bigger.

Let's not forget Dream will be back this season. We all seem to be overlooking that. So,

Dream, Cato, Shandon at the 3, MObley at the 2, and Stevie at point guard. I LIKE IT! Carlos, Kenny Thomas, Drew off the bench for sparks. I WILL TAKE THAT! HURRY BACK, DREAM!

I'm sorry, Hardwood. Didn't even answer the question.

I don't think we would get the same result with Cuttino but look what happened when we went ahead and signed Kelvin Cato!

I would not sign anyone till much later in the season or the summer. Let's see who produces and has the heart. On the other hand, I think Cuttino is of the character to still produce after getting his money so I would not be upset to sign him now. He is definitely talented. Don't do it just to trade him though. We can have a very, very good backcourt with him and Shandon and Stevie. I'm drooling. I agree Shandon at the 3. Sorry for any typos.

Mobley is a very streaky player, but the guy plays with heart & emotion.

I would definetely sign him for a long tern contract, and at the same time be open to trade him for the right player or picks.

If we offered him 5 mil/yr now and he took it.......we'd be getting a bargain.I'm inclined to think Cat would take it.We could still trade him later,if we wanted to.

I think Cat's next contract will be worth anywhere from the $7-$8 million range. I think we should just wait this thing out and see what direction we want to head in. Don't hurry anything...we have plenty of time, it's not like we are in a race to make the playoffs. Rudy just needs to take note of all the offers he gets from around the league, and see what he wants to do right before the trading deadline.
