ive been waiting for the prices to get better and since NBA 2K7 comes out tommorow on ebay currently core system package is running for about $250 while the premium is around $350 is that extra $100 really worth it? do i really want to play old xbox games? what else comes with premium? i never really leave the area of 5ft of my tv (wireless?) help guys!
Yes it is worth it. If you want to run any original X-box games on the 360, or if you want to join X-box live for downloadable games, or multiplayer. You got to have that hard drive. And the wireless controllers....yummy. DD
Wireless controller, hard drive, media remote. I have the premium but I can't for the life of me remember anything else that was different. Though, the premium was BY FAR the best deal since the extra components bought seperately totaled a lot more than the $100 difference between systems.
yeah ive never had an xbox so not too familiar with Live, i just figured $100 could be 2 extra games i could have or the responsible side of me is saying im a student, that $100 could go to a lot of places (groceries, utilities)
If you just don't want to take advantage of XBL (downloadable demos and game trailers, XBL Arcade, microtransactions, etc), don't want to play Xbox games on your 360, and you don't want the slight improvements that the HDD provides in games (EX:faster loading), the Core SKU might be an option. Oh yeah, and don't forget that it is probably more like a $50 difference between the 2 SKUs assuming you want to save your games (360 64MB memory cards are like $40-$50 IIRC). Might be some people that fit in that category (really casual gamers that just play Madden offline or something like that), but I'm assuming most gamers would prefer to buy the premium SKU. There should be some holiday bundles coming up soon...if they haven't already (maybe announced at X06 this week?). I saw something about a black 360 too.
where? I sure hope you're right, I hate white electronics components. whoever started the fad should be shot
Never mind.I think what I saw was just an error by someone working with the graphics for an ad (which had a black 360). Seems like they just inverted the color to make it look generic instead of it actually being a black 360 though...not that it would be difficult to get a picture of a black 360 since the devkits are black. There have been rumors for a while that there would be a black 360 though (part of a DirectTV deal actually...supposed to have a bunch of stuff integrated into it besides just being a black system).
i have ESPN NBA 2K5, and im happy with it. great game. i was considering upgrading to 2K7 tommorow but im not sure if itll be worth it. 2K6 is in the bargain bin for $15 also. with the $30+ dollars for 2K7 i could get NBA 2K6 for $15, Fable for $10, and NFL 2K5 best football game ever for $3 (gamestop) just wondering whats better about this years titles since i think 2K5 is where the graphics maxed out at
