I hope this marks a turnaround for the program. When I was at UH they were beating everybody, anybody, but the "golden era" has been gone for a long, long time. Wow, this team could be for real. Bring back the glory days!
I remember in the Run 'n Shoot days when UH (ranked #3 at the time) played at Miami and my co-worker actually thought they would win. What a joke. It was men vs. boys. If UH brings their "A" game next week it could be close. Larry Coker is a dead coach walking. The picture of him on espn.com is priceless.
Great win over a legit Big 12 team. I think this OSU team is stronger than the Kansas team that handed us our butts last Christmas, therefore we have improved quite a bit. I fear Miami is gonna exploit our suspect D...and that losing SirVincent Rogers is gonna hurt our running game. If we bring our A game, and step it up a little on D...no reason we can't hang close with the Canes.
Depends on what game the Hurricanes bring. If they bring their A game, it doesn't matter what UH does or how well they play. They'll get stomped. But if Miami gives a half-assed, C minus effort like they usually do, then UH can definitely keep up with them if they play their best.
Wait a second. The UH fans rushed the field after a victory against Oklahoma State? That has to be the most pathetic thing I've heard in my life. You beat a team with the 92nd worst all-time winning percentage in Division 1A football and you rush the field? Their all-time record is behind such powerhouse programs as Rutgers, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt. And they won 4 games last year. Sure, they were 3-0 this season, but on the strength of victories over other traditional NCAAF powerhouses as Arkansas State, Florida Atlantic, and Missouri State...
That was the best game i've seen at Robertson my entire time here at UH, what a game!! The rain didn't bother me , I enjoyed every second of that game. And yes this was a BIG win for UH. OK State has not been a bad team in recent years. They had a bad year last year , but in 2002 went 8-5. 2003 9-4, 2004 7-5. They have had much more success than Kansas has in recent history. After how UH looked last year in the Fort Worth Bowl against Kansas, this win does alot for our confidence. And this was our first real test of the season and we pulled out the W. Kolb was great again. Kolb for Heisman! Go COOGS!
Beating a big 12 team meant a lot to us. Go stuff it. http://chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/lopez/4210218.html
If I was there, I would have rushed the field. There is a certain rush in doing something illegal and knowing you probably won't get in trouble. Sort of like punching a dwarf.
Who cares if they rushed the field. It was a good win, and everyone was soaked from the rain. It looked fun, and I would rushed the field too.
Aw....so what are you a Horns fan... Gonna rush the field when you go from a National Championship...to winning the Cotton Bowl and finishing #8 in the country.. My congrats!
