Actually Bruce Lee was already beating up on Kareem until he utilized the sunlight fatality.

You sure? I remember Lee getting lucky when one of the panel's broke and that turned the tide for him.

Why do you have to make it a race issue? I don't think they'd complain if Yao got beat up by a legit fighter. But we are talking about Chris Tucker here who is a comedian. I think they'd complain too if Yao had to be the punch bag of Stephen Chow who is also a Chinese.

You can say they are too sensitive because it is only a movie (which I agree). But you shouldn't try to imply that they are racist.

It takes a lot more time and energy to star in a movie than to shoot a commercial. Good move by Yao (or Team Yao). Chris Tucker is not an issue here. Yao's number one priority prior to 2008 Olympics is to take the Rockets to a new height -- hopefully a Championship or two.

I've been a Stephen Chow fan since the late 80's when he wasn't that famous back then. I definitely wouldn't want to see Stephen Chow defeating Yao Ming in a movie fight scene. And I also heard Stephen Chow is a fan of Yao Ming.

(about Jackie Chan being hated in Hong Kong)

...because those movies were made 20 years ago (those where the best kung-fu movies). For now, most of his movies were made for foreign markets.

Also it is because of his messy personal life (just like Bill Clinton), he was married, but he made an TV artress pregnant, didn't claim responsibility, and then said to the media, "I've just done what every man in the world would do (to have an affair)."

Recently during someone's concert, he jumped on the stage and interrupted the concert and used foul language towards the audience.

The audience were yelling and asking him to leave, while he was insulting the band and the host. Sorta hilarious.

So I'm glad Yao doesn't appear on the same screen with him.

Seriously, does Jabar stand a chance against Lee in real life? How long do you think it would take Lee to put Jabar down?

It didn't end badly. He and the Lee are good friends and it was sorta a joke I think.

I would not mind to be a clown if I can be a billionaire..... :D

Seriously Stephen Chow is a great professional, a very hard working and serious entertainer, who writes, produces, directs and acts his own films which brought alot of laughter and entertainment to movie-goers around the world.

Bottom line, Yao's focus is on basketball, basketball...and basketball. Between playing for the Chinese National Team every summer and preparing for the 2008 Olympics, Training camp for the Rockets and the NBA season starting in just 2 months, not to mention an intensive training regiment to get prepared for the season...where does he have time to film a movie?

Careers of NBA centers aren't very long...so Yao knows not to waste his prime playing years (i.e. right now) doing other things besides playing basketball. Yao can do Rush Hour 6 when his basketball career is ending and he is in his mid 30s.

I have a very hard time to link Stephen Chow with the word "serious". All his movies, especially recents ones, are ridiculous. Funny, yes, but also ridiculous.
