Here is the link to the hit: http://youtube.com/watch?v=-aBaJ0kb7t4 Here is the link to the postgame interview, he doesn't look all there: http://deadspin.com/sports/nfl/chad-johnson-perhaps-unaware-of-his-surroundings-202233.php I had to watch the 2nd video twice just to see what he is actually saying...I'm still not sure.
Don't like to see anybody take a cheap shot or get hurt. But I have much less sympathy for the show-boatin' smack talkin' yappers when they get popped. Funny to see him at a loss for words.
How was that a cheap shot? Looked like a textbook hit by the safety to me - not late, didn't lead with his helmet, hit him in the chest with his shoulder, not up at his head. Brings back memories...both as the hitter & the hitee.
haha i love it. i love how much trash johnson talks and i love watching him get shoulder nuked in the jaw.
Damn, that was a BRUTAL (but legal) hit. One of the nastiest ones I've seen in a long time. When you have a reputaion for running smack and dancing after TD's, you're going to have a big target on your chest. Especially when you play your rival team.
Its questionable in nature. I wouldn't be surprised if the league handed down a fine. That being said, I don't think it was cheap. I said that because I knew -some- in this thread would view it as a cheap shot.
WTF is wrong with the NFL? fine a guy for an illegal hit. fine a guy for a legal hit. what the hell do you want? just make it flag football for freak sakes.
"I have to get somebody back. Someone has to pay for me not being able to look up at the sky. I can't turn my head to the left. I can't look to the right, and I can't raise my right shoulder. My left knee hurts; my back is in discomfort. I can't even eat solids. I'm on a liquid diet right now." (Reporters laughed) "That's not funny, guys." http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060921/SPT02/609210338/1066 In related news, WR Reggie McNeal was signed off the practice squad by the Bengals.
No, I like him too. I think most of his antics are good natured and he only does it to fire up the fans. I think the people who don't like him would probably feel different if he played for the team they rooted for.
Chad Johnson is one of my favorite players in the league. You have to admit that you want to see what he'll come up with next. But most of all, he backs up his talk for the most part. TO on the other hand was just annoying because he does everything off the field.
