Hmm... that's like running the 100m in about 24 secs or the 200 in about 48 secs (mathematically, not realistically, of course), right? Realistically that's even more impressive considering he has to decelerate at each turn. Damn.

This is sort of random. But, does anyone else think Yao Ming and Lauren Jackson would make a cute couple?

Naaaaaaah, that was a very old story already. It ended before it started.

The following article from Yang Yi, a buddy of Yao Ming, has told us that Yao Ming has broken Lauren Jackson's heart back in May 2004.

    http://sports.sina.com.cn/k/p/2004-10-11/15581189152.shtml

Yao Ming flied over to Seattle to accompany his girl friend Ye Li and the national team which was on training there in USA.

It was rumoured that while Yao Ming was there watching the Chinese national team on training, a famous pretty girl who was playing for Seattle Storm and had a crush on Yao, asked a friend to pass the message to Yao. Yao just pointed to Ye Li and said: "Sorry. My girl friend is here."

If the story was true, all I can say to Yao is:
"Bad move, Yao, bad move !!"

Think of it this way. If Yao was the type of person that would ditch Ye Li, he might not be in Houston today. He could be in LA following Shaq's foot steps. ;)

Not at all. I've seen her play at a Comets game and she is not all that good looking. That photo is VERY flattering. Yao is doing just fine.

Yao and Jackson would make better baby Yaos for sure. :p Jackson's a much better athlete than Ye Li, taller, bigger frame and with long arms.

If jackson and yao had kids, and If i was the CEO of nike, i'd contract their babies the minute jackson's stomach gets big.

It's not like Ye Li is short, she is 6-3 vs Jackson who is 6-5. Chances are Yao's boy will be 7-4 and taller, if he grows up on American diet, he could be a more muscular Yao. The question is, which country will he represent in the Olympics (US or China). ;)

How do you know that it's going to be Yao's boy and not boys? There might be a Yao Team 20 years later. ;)

I've already written him off, but I really hope I'm wrong. I don't want to raise my hopes just have have them dashed on the rocks again. He's actually my favorite player on the rockets. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Hey, it's at least a good sign that he's still going for it. He could easily be zooming around town in that supercar of his instead.

Lauren Jackson scored an easy deuce over No. 11. :p

I hope it was not Ye Li (anyone knows her jersey number on CWNT?).
