You know, Yao wins the paper ballots too. It's not the Chinese internet voters that are making him and McGrady/Francis all-star starters, that's just nonsense they say on shows like Cold Pizza.

OOOOO....how ever will we manage if T-Mac doesn't start in the game (LOL)

He has to start at the Shooting guard position, unless you want Battier comong off the bench because Jho has the 4 position locked in Van Gumdy's mind...

T-Mac is just gonna have to beat Kobe out with victories to get the start, not run away from the challenge like a Sissy Man

Would fans be happy with this line up?

    Pg: Alston
    Sg: Wells
    Sf: Mcgrady
    Pf: Battier
    C: Yao

Honestly, in my opinion i think we should try and get a real pf such as Ely that way we can move Battier to Sg. To me that would be a more balanced team. I know many are going to disagree with me, but I was curious if anyone would prefer my line up with Ely in it.

i want someone to hack Rockets.com and write up some real negative **** just to mess 'em up.

ugh, it's always a positive literary diatribe on Rockets.com that gets me over excited and overly positive about our chances..

must remain negative at all times.

That write up is spot on with how I think we'll see most of the games (barring injuries). And it also, in a more glowing manor than I would, points out some weaknesses we have.

CD and JVG kept on saying SG was wide oPen for Snyder to take. Then they signed a few more sg and now goes after Wells.

I gotta say it sure looks like Battier is playing the 4 more than the 2 or 3.

....sounds like an insurance policy. I would think any team(especially an injury prone one like the Rockets) would be smart to sign solid reserves no matter how confident you are in your new roster aquisition. Besides, the Rockets staff haven't been able to see Snyder in action with the rest of the team yet so any discussion of his standing with the coaching staff is premature for at least a few more weeks.

(FWIW, I don't think they realistically have a shot at Wells)

The very fact that you consider Ely a real PF shows me your not ready for the upcoming season. ;)

Hell yea I would. I would also take the above line-up in certain situations but not as a consistent game by game rotation.

I think what he means is a more traditional PF. Size to contest shots and rebounding to go along with those who can space the floor for Yao.

But adding Battier at the 4 spot makes it serviceable.
