coming to the Rockets... Mainly because I'm not much of a Shandon fan... If Rice can shutup and be willing to be the 3rd banana with us, then I'm all for him being here... He will provide the Rockets an obvious 3 pt threat who will make defenses play Stevie and Cat honestly... I realize that Shandon was a great defender, while Rice is average... But, with the new rule changes, I think the days of man-to-man defense won't be that common... It will be much easier for teams to not only double team a player, with or WITHOUT the ball, but also it will be much easier to rotate to the open man without worrying about illegal D... If we do indeed get Rice, I sure hope it means that we traded the Wiz too... Essentially, Wiz is a poor man's Rice... Also, perhaps NY would be interested in acquiring Walt for the sake of clearing up cap space after this year... While Rice is 34 years-old, he doesn't have too much mileage in the last couple of years where he averaged roughly 30 mins a game... Maybe Houston can be the shot in the arm, or kick in the ass he needs?
