If Rudy is actually considering getting rid of Shandon for Glen Rice, then the only logical reasoning is that he wants the Rockets to be like the Bucks in their style of offensive. It would be run and gun. So Steve would be Sam Cassell, Cuttino would be Ray Allen and Glen Rice would be Glen Robinson in the offense. Just like the Bucks, I wouldn't trust either Glen to make buckets that count in the crunch time.
Glenn Robinson is 6 years younger than Glen Rice with alot lower mileage. IMHO, Robinson could run with Steve and Cat, but Rice can't. Robinson will also grab more boards and block a few shots. Other than players at the same postions, not a good comparison IMO. Then again, I can't stand Rice's game....or lack of one.
Both Glens jack up lots of shots, both are horrible crunch time players. How about hitting that 5 foot jumper to beat the Sixers Big Dog? But I do give the nod to Robinson as the better player.
Big Dog has hit his share of buzzer-beaters. Seriously, I've seen at least 2-3 games where Robinson has hit shots AT the buzzer to win games. As for the playoffs, give the guy a break! It was his first meaningful playoff experience. I think he's pretty clutch (no pun intended).
