I've been thinking about doing this, and would like to hear what it was like, costs, etc. from people who have had it done. Also, if anyone has had a reversal, I'd like to hear how that went as well. Thanks.
Not a big deal at all, insurance covers it......just make sure you have a couple of days to sit on some ice packs. DD
Too late, Fatty...you already reproduced. I have no firsthand experience, but it's really simple from what I've heard. Two shots to numb your groin, two incisions that are about 1 cm. each, snip snip, and you're done. It's done in the office, and usually takes less than an hour. Plus, the best part, straight from the wikipedia entry "Because the sperm itself makes up a very small proportion of the ejaculate, vasectomy does not affect the volume, appearance, texture or flavor of the ejaculate." yummy! Don't worry about reversal. It's expensive and the success rate really isn't worth it. Just go down to the sperm bank and make a few deposits if you still think you might want some more fatty fatbastards running around...
No doubt. Some areas of the body you just aren't supposed to take a knife to unless its life threatening.
Who needs vasectomies? Wear tight jeans and take hot baths. Drink mountain dew while you're at it....
I swear I actually saw a car magnet advertising them just the other day. so cheap ones are out there...
My friend says: No big deal, ins. covers it and depending on where you go, they either do incisions (bad) or just seperate the fibers (good) and go in that way...Frozen peas and corn for the swelling and take drugs and beer for the pain... Make a deposit just in case...can be expensive as you pay annually...
What does a vasectomy do? Just doesn't allow you to impregnate someone? Or does it take away from your sex drive, too?
