    Alright, as I have said before, my uncle manages the Pappadeaux in Houston, and he called tonight, and told him that one of the waiters that works there is like a major Rox fan, and the other night Rudy and CD came in for dinner, and he kind of eavesdropped and he did hear CD saying something about talking to MJ (MIcheal Jordan). That was all that he heard though, so just thought I should post this.

    Another thing,my uncle also said the waiter guy mentioned that he heard "Heidi" (Jahidi)? Which Oeilpere previously indicated. Also one more very intriguing thing, maybe oeilpere can confirm this. That the waiter heard talk that indicated it could be a multiple person deal. I dont know what else we would want from the Wiz but thats what the waiter guy told my uncle. Or my uncle might be blowing smoke up my ass, he knows how big of a fan i am. And he is a lurker on this site. So i dont know, but he seemed serious.

    Oeilpere can u confirm this or was he lying?

    There's nobody on the Wizards that's of any value to us other than Jahidi White, Rip Hamilton, or Courtney Alexander. Rip and Courtney are pretty much unobtainable, and Jahidi isn't worth getting unless we unload Walt or Cato.

    I hope they're not talking about MJ playing for us. First of all, he would stunt the team's growth, and second of all, I wouldn't want him to tarnish his amazing and incredible career with us. If MJ was the old MJ from '98, I'm all for getting him and letting him and Stevie carry us to the title. Ahhhh.......it's only a dream....

    Well, you're a regular poster, 3422. So I believe you. (Although I'm waiting for the psyche! suckers! )

    If this is about White, it would likely require players other than just White and just Walt (White's BYC). Maybe Popeye Jones and his expiring contract. But I'll stop speculating.

    The brain trust talking to MJ about a multi-player deal for Jahidi makes all the sense in the world. MJ wants to drop salaries for next year, he added Kwame , We need help at C, Wiz is expendable and his contract is up after this year, you have to have multiple players to make the salaries match up. Of course they would be talking basketball at dinner.

    Because CD isn't a vegetarian...

    Pappadeaux's has a side item menu with broccoli, red beans and rice, garlic mashed potatoes, plus salads...

    Maybe Pappadeaux's is like that seafood resturant in The Simpsons, where the bread even has fish in it...

    Anyways...Personally, I think we would have to give up more than Walt Williams or Kelvin Cato to get White. MJ probably wouldn't take Cato anyways, since he's on this big salary dumping trip right now...We might have to throw Kenny Thomas in there...

    This is my first post, so "Howdy!" :D I've been lurking for about five years. Don't know why I've decided to jump in now? I think its probably because living in NY is really getting to me and I miss Houston and talking Rockets in a bad way. Anyway, onto the post:

    Didn't Jahidi play last summer with the Francis Hit Men? On the same team with the Steve, Afro-Thunder and the Wizard. I can't remember if Cat played on this team as well. I know Steve gave JW a face full of his jock on that one dunk last season, but maybe there's some friendship there. Anybody know anything about that relationship?

    I didn't have anything relevant to say about the subject... just wanted to say hi and welcome to backwardhead... I'm a transplanted Houstonian too. I still live in Texas, but nine-hours away in scenic (sarcasm) Lubbock, TX. Since they're closer to San Antonio and Dallas they dish out plenty of Mavs/Spurs news which makes me want to puke, and unless it's on Nat'l TV I can never watch a game.... sucks for us far away fans!
