Canadians kick Orthodox Jew off of plane for praying.

Hasidic Jews are the guys who dress the same and wear the wide brimmed hats and have peyes, etc.

Outwardly and in terms of their belief in strictly adhering to tradition they have some of the same distinctiveness as the Amish.

Praying out loud and in an animated fashion is core to their beliefs.

 

Yup, that's where I live. I see them all the time.

 

What's somewhat ironic about this is that hasidic judaism and conservative varities of islam are incredibly similar in terms of culture. Both are incredibly conservative regarding the strict role of religion in life, women's rights, etc..
