    Anyone else suffer from this?

I don't just mean in a "damn I miss the NBA season" way either. I mean a whole hearted "my life is meaningless without the season" kinda way.

the World's have done the smallest bit to ease the symptoms, but with them now done, and still over a month before the pre season brings some relief...

I may jump off a bridge.

I always fall back on tennis, those poor bastards get no off-season. Federer all the way.

The world's have definately helped, and in any other year than this yr (whole lot of personal stuff) i'd be going out of my mind. I'm just glad October/November is near.

Funnily enough, the season i decide to get rid of Foxtel, they decide to up the NBA coverage and show more than two teams. But luckily we have torrents. now i just gotta figure out a way to avoid seeing the scores until i have the game downloaded and ready to watch, which is probably impossible.

Maybe try to have a fall-back sport, watch some of your favourite games from this season past, the ones which featured both Yao and T-Mac, up the X-box 360 usage...and if you can tolerate it, watch the NBL. :p

I know what you mean.......its torture.....Astros are not helping. Last year they bridged the gap to the start of Texan's season which then helped until...OMG...I had both football and basketball :D

    Hold on...preseason is coming soon....

not really, if anything, basketball kills my grade cause instead of doing HW I have to watch the Rockets every night WHILE doing HW. It consumes too much of my life, lol, I gotta enjoy this time before the season comes.

What has helped me is I bought all of the "24" seasons (bootleg) and having never viewed them before I have become addicted. It has taken my mind off of the Rockets however now I am ignoring sleep, my work, and even normal everyday activities. Kind of like trying to scratch a mosquito bite with a revolver. Im suprised I took the time out to write this. Back to Jack Bauer!

Being in Australia you might have to explain this to me? why up to 1?

games are on on during the day our time mid - morning to lunchtime. Makes it easy to follow the games live on the net , if not watch them. Of course we get bugger all live games to watch here.

at least the nfl is starting this week which will help ease the pain for me. also a lot of the new episodes will be starting shortly. i bought lost season 2 on dvd yesterday so i have that to take up my time. but this off season has been long (for missing playoffs and a horrible season) and weary to say the least

Yeah, it's boring to talk about the Rockets with no games or anything happening. I've been going to the Debate and Discussion area trying to have fun, but those guys take themselves way to seriously.

Can't wait until the season begins....

im really starting to get impatient. Football will tide me over for a little, but i want to see some basketball.

the NBA needs to start the season 10 days or so earlier. 1) we get basketbal a little quicker. 2) it would eliminate a lot of the back to back games, which i think are pretty silly.
