Shouldn't get in the way of him complaining about every single call in the entire 48 minutes of the game.

Well good thing they have Rudy Gay on their team. He is ready to step in and be the man. Remember how he was going to be able to fill in for an injured TMac. Now he will jsut have to do that for Memphis.

Actually wouldn't Stromile be the next in line?

He may get some starting time, and finally have a chance to prove himself.

Is he a player, or a bust.

    Guess we will see.

I can't believe the grief you guys are giving Memphis X. I've always enjoyed his posts and being that we went through the same thing last year - I know what it feels like and I empathize with him.

i think its actually good for memphis in the long term..

gasol can get all his injuries fixed, healed, and rest

    rudy gay can developer faster

and swift can have another chance to step up and prove everyone wrong

while memphis tries to get oden

its not like they were going to go past 1st round or even to the playoffs this year anyway

Maybe Memphis will actually be a bit better without Gasol, Spain look better the other day so why not Memphis.

Yao still has hardware in his foot and T-Mac needs to test his back in a game. Stop tempting fate people!

dunno if there's any guarentees on Swift even suiting up there

odds are he'll be shipped elsewhere.

for one he doesn't want to be there, has he even returned their calls yet?

and two he was taken on the grounds that we give Gay. They don't want Swift either.

I wonder what Oden's injury will do to his draft stock (torn ligament in finger)

let's be real people, memphis is not going to be bad enough to get a top 5 pick unless they really commit to it. First, they have to hold out Pau for the whole season. Then they prolly have to get rid of Fratello, who is in the JVG mold of getting his players to play hard even if it's to the team's detriment (inexcusable win to the clippers last year). Then they have to hope for Damon to come back at half his previous level, or at least miss a majority of the season. Gay struggling during his rookie year is the X factor.

Sorry MemphisX, but i just don't see a sub-30 win season happening. It's possible, but too many pieces have to fall out of place.

Keep in mind, however, this draft is probably going to be pretty deep, so any lottery pick is nothing to sneeze at.

Maybe Memphis can trade us their lotto pick and Stromile Swift next year for Battier, eh?

Well I certainly am glad with the fact that Pau Gasol is going to be out for the extended period of time, as we had Tracy McGrady and Yao out for a long, long period last season. Yeah, I hope the silver lining from this injury for the Grizzlies doesn't mean a superstar Rudy Gay in his rookie year or we're going to be in trouble.

Well they really don't have another Power Forward, and they have Damon Stoudamire and Chucky Atkins at the point. No more Shane Battier for them. Hopefully they won't make the playoffs...
