The whole running back situation is really a joke. To think the Texans could actually have Reggie Bush on their team.

That draft blunder is going to come back and haunt this team for a long time.

Not when Wali Lundy, a 6th round pick, rushes for 1200 yards this season.

Why don't you shut up instead? Dream34 is right. Maybe you don't want to hear it, but he's right. The Texans front office are idiots.

How is Owen Daniels fourth on the depth chart? The new coaching staff loves him and they played him in the preseason more than any one of the other tight ends. I'm expecting him to start opening day because they say he is a combination of Bruener and Putzier.

He is not. I copied the depth chart from houstontexans.com, which they have finally updated to have Owen Daniels first string.

You know I seem to recall that the Broncos in the mid 90s picked a 6th rounder from Georgia for RB. No one knew much about him but, surprise Terrell Davis basically spearheaded 2 super bowl victories for Denver.

Oh yeah and when Davis went down with injuries they went with Mike Anderson at RB and he only rushed for over 1000 yards

Also, as great as Barry Sanders was ... he never even went to a super bowl much less won one.

Something else to ponder, the Saints are in a division where 2 possibly 3 teams (Bucs, Falcons and Panthers) are perennial top 10 NFL defenses. The Saints even with Bush have their work cut out for them.

Bottom line, it still takes a TEAM to achieve playoff glory.

So, dont be so quick to judge just because we didnt get VY or Reggie. Success even if we get those guys is not instantaneous. Our defense was pathetic so thus ...

Kubiak comes from a winning pedigree. He coached one of the best NFL quarterbacks ever in John Elway. He coordinated an offense at Denver that was the most prolific in the last decade.

Kubiak is clearly the man for the job lets see what happens next ...

Blunder? Did you bother to read that the Tesans were rated top 5 with their draft picks for the entire NFL!

You know what a blunder is? I'll tell you. A blunder is when you put all your eggs in one basket.

One player will not make the Texans a champion at the end of the day. Besides what happens if VY or Bush get injured even seriously for a lengthy period of time or for even longer?

Then, you would criticize the Texans for pinning all their hopes and dreams on one player.

This shows your shortsightedness. Kubiak clearly said that he needed to build a defense to stop Manning Inc.

When the Colts dropped the Edge to keep Freeney that should have sent a clear signal that defense wins out over offense. Scoring 40 to 50 pts a game is exciting but does not make for a winning formula when you cant stop anyone.

Plus, Kubiak trusts the system. So lets see the system at work before throwing the organization under the bus.

So far, first winning preseason ever and most points scored in preseason. Yes, its preseason but its a start.

We beat the Bucs. We never beat the Bucs when dumbass Dom was at the helm. Preseason or regular season.

Just a few things for you to ponder before expelling anymore intelligent ideas from your mouth.

Ron Dayne coming to H-Town? That would be good. Would make sense since DD is probably gone for the year. Damn!

Bye Seth you sucked the big one. Part of the reason why Carr has constant jangled nerves even when no one is coming. Thanks Seth for nothing. Good luck in the CFL. haha!

Awesome that Travis Johnson won the starting spot. I was worried about him after his crappy start.

Because the Texans front office is in no way r****ded.

This team doesn't need a 2,000 yard rusher to be great.

It needs stellar defense and a good, consistent running back, which the system will bring - no need to spend a number one pick on it.

Oh yeah, also, because I'm a Texans fan, in a Texans thread, not crtiticizing some random team I don't like.
