I made this same thread a few months ago, I ended up using the foil like Relativist said and it worked... I first tried the scented Critter Ridder and it did nothing, I watched the cat take a nap on a huge pile of it that spilled on my driveway when I was putting it out.. All I did was put foil all across the roof of my car and left it out in the driveway after a few nights the cat wasn’t seen on any other car that parked in driveway..

Won't foil scratch the car as well?

Shave the cat! then hang it upside down next to the car, as an example to other cats. I'm sure that will discourage them.

Brilliant idea, but he did say that he would rather not harm the cats ;) .

I didn’t crumple the foil, I just laid taped sheets together and left about 6 inches on each end and closed them in my car doors to keep it from flying off.. The foil was nice and tight and I haven’t seen any scratches yet..

I heard if you put your cars in the garage that it's much more difficult for them to get on your car.

Buy a bunch of rat traps, the glue kind. Place them all over your car hood. Your car stays clean, and the owner of the cat pretty much has to tear the paws off the cat to get them off. Freaking cats.....

master baiter.. that may be true, but we'd probably have to build a bigger garage to fit them all in :)
