Skiing the Andes

    I was looking to do something fun before school starts. Skiing the Andes came to mind. Then I saw the airfares to Santiago! Holy moly! Have any of you skied the Andes during the summer months in the US? Also, has anyone skied the Swiss Alps? I have no idea what to expect! I heard that there aren't any trees on the slopes and the runs are wide open!

    Well, I assume there are no skiers out there.
